Do we feel the 'dark ride' portion of JR is a hit or a miss? That's probably the only thing so far that seems a bit meh. But like most of us, I am yet to actually see what is in there.

I am reserving judgement until I have experienced it myself.  And am already getting impatient.

Im headed there now, I’ll post an update if there’s anything news worthy, but in the meantime, here’s a pic from yesterdayIMG_1832.thumb.jpeg.681bd3a085cb39a58ee049deb14571bb.jpeg

It's a hit overall. Not as themed (yet anyway, it's a soft opening) as the dark ride scenes in Scooby or Superman, but as a show scene it works very very well. The audio in there is crazy, loud and adds a lot to the atmosphere.

Asked just then, they may open today but not guaranteed. In other news they are installing the statues of Kenny and Belinda!

Am I reading you right - you think something is 'hit or miss' and you haven't even seen it?

By that logic I think you're a bit hit or miss yourself...

AKA: Enthusiasts can't even wait until they've ridden something before judging it these days.

I know they've been leaning into K&B for nostalgia and lack of licencing, but i do with they'd ease off a bit. K&B aren't Rivertown. That's the Tasman Co. K&B have their own land. they should stay there. JMO.

@DaptoFunlandGuy - I think you misread or I am using the terminology wrong. Let me rephrase...

Do you guys think the dark ride portion of this ride good or bad, or is it too early too tell?

It was a poorly worded post, the last part (below) where you provide what appears to be your opinion on something you haven't yet been on to experience and something thats not widely been documented (yet).

Within the park you do only find the characters within Dreamland (and now as a photo op for MM). It’s not like you find them at every corner of the park. If K&B appeared anymore than this then I’d agree, but I think this as a photo op is fine.

Don't forget K&B on the tables inside Jane's... And the character merch\plush\keyrings etc in the main street gift shop... I wouldn't be surprised if there's K&B faces all over JR...

You don’t see statues of Mickey and Minnie in spaceman costumes in Tomorrowland.

Merchandise is OK but maybe a meet and greet a few times a day in Rivertown would have been a better “meet in the middle” option

I thought those characters that squirt water would have been the mascots for Rivertown.

Jungle Rush has just opened again. Murrasippi motors is still closed.

Got off it and it was pretty damn good. (First car forward, front row) Of course it's too early to know if the dark ride sections are good as it's still in soft open. And they are running 2 trains

Perhaps introducing 'Jane' (and friends) as characters for Rivertown would have been a better opportunity? Tarzan as a character is in the Public Domain, so they could have leaned into that without any licensing issues.

There was also the opportunity to do a bit of a Lara Croft/Nathan Drake character - an adventurer/explorer that could tie into a Motocoaster re-theme, as well as character appearances in the area and restaurant.

I think it's ok for K&B to visit Rivertown, but I agree that it would be great to see the area have it's own characters and story.

In the queue at the moment for jungle rush it looks and sounds epic so far, very leviathan queue vibe….

so it looks like it’s departing and arriving same direction when running two trains and when running one train it’s a longer cycle.

Indoor section was cool but too bright and some fog would help

Jungle Rush opened today around 3pm. It had a brief downtime of about 10 minutes and had a 30-minute queue it had a few other moments of downtime and was cycling empty. The atmosphere was great, and the ride seems to have received a pretty strong, positive reception!

To be fair, this is the soft opening. Lights and effects and fully complete

So a little information board popped up and I might have a headcannon that both Jane and Murry aren't technically alive thanks to the Jungle Rush info part.

Otherwise, the land is just amazing! I do hear Murrasippi Motors might soft open tomorrow.

reclassified entire thing as I may be incorrect on my "headcannon" and added a little reaction to the land itself

Nobody misread anything. You simply just made a stupid comment.

See, a little bit of lore goes a long way. Loving the look of the photos/vids coming out. Surely an official POV is imminent.

Spoilers alert!

Staff aren't wearing seat belts so I don't know what it the point of them.

I will say that the Jungle Rush station looks a bit underwhelming. The TV screens kind of cheapen the look to me. Bit of a shame, as the rest of the queue is fantastic.

Ride time is 1 minute 35 seconds if anyone curious by the way!

Keen to see if/how that changes when they run different courses.

I know Greg has mentioned previously you could possibly have a new ride experience each time… but surely there’s a limit to the combinations. I wonder what it is
