Oh, sorry - i'll speak slower for you. Too many people in the park, not enough rides operating, not enough rides operating at full capacity, not enough staff to operate the rides effectively, poo

I was cautiously optimistic of the ride returning to the opening (of the ride) standard when this was announced, but after Oz and various visible maintenance/upkeep issues around the park I don’t have

While I'm Not at the Park today, I've heard and saw on a Post that The Ride Sign is Back, and it Looks Miles Better than The ''Next Generation'' Sign.

Yeah Movieworld just posted it looks awesome

all work walls are down around Scooby with the ride information board now also up at the entrance of the extended queue.

QLD state schools don't finish until the end of that week on the 12th too so they get a solid 5 days to operate it before the holiday rush begins in earnest..

The parks (except for usually Sea World) are ridiculously busy in the last week of school, lots of schools visit as end of year rewards.

Taken from TPO newest video, looks like new operational procedures are to be in place for SDSC with the mention of Assigned Colours. I haven’t ridden the ride in the past but I take it that storage boxes are a new addition to the station/unload for bags and the like to be placed in?

So how exactly would that work with a separate unload/load station assuming the ride operationally remains the same?

My assumption was that a hole in the wall between load and unload would be where the storage box would be slotted into where belongings would stored by people loading and be able to be picked up by people unloading, kind of similar to how JR loose storage works. Fairly unrealistic idea all things considered taking into account how many people could be in load and unload at the same time leading to congestion on both sides of the boxes but nothing else really makes sense.

Did they really need to incorporate a loose item system? We didn’t have it before, hoping this doesn’t stuff up operation loading times as this ride is a people eater, this will just slow it down.

Yes, but all usually dip out by around 2pm, and I did say 'in earnest'

I've seen load held up because someone was trying to shove the worlds biggest backpack in front of their feet. We know they have new trains, there may not be the space for baggage that there used to be.

As long as the grouper has people lined up at the gates when they open, I think this will actually improve load times. Unload will similarly improve if the loose item boxes are behind a gate - unload can dispatch the cleared train while people are getting their stuff, instead of waiting for the guy with the big backpack to extricate himself from the far seat.

As an ex loader... I've seen people trying to cram all sorts of things into those cars and it's caused delays including the "must send" light going off. I'm all for loose item boxes if it's done properly. One way I could maybe see it working is before going up that little ramp to the load station they might have an area to store loose items in the main room. If they re-route the exit path it could end up going into the second half of the main room maybe.

We still have no idea on the final layout of the main queue building and it could easily have been implemented. Only time will tell, but I'm curious about it.

This is Village remember. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a direct order to make things go slowly.
