Did they have Moon Patrol? I love pinball machines. Moreso 1990's era Williams machines.
Moon Patrol, I remember that. Then I wrote my own version on my Sinclair ZX81 in chunky graphics :)

I'm glad I found this site. My aunty and uncle used to manage a motel up in Port Macquarie. I used to go up there often in the holidays and one of the main highlights was visiting peppermint park and fantasy glades. They stopped managing the motel when I was 18 in 2004 and just today I tried to do a google search and came across some of the posts on this site which said peppermint park had closed and was replaced with apartments. What a shame :( I distinctly remember the slides, the kids slide, putt putt golf course and the pedal carts. I also remember they used to have two sets of carts (smaller ones for kids and bigger ones for teens/adults). There were 2 tracks, one for the small carts and another track which branched off the small track for the bigger kids. The small carts were not allowed on the other track, one time I remember going on the wrong track in the small cart, and a boy told me off.. Haha. I still have a brochure of peppermint park (which would be around 13 years old) which I took from the motel room. I also have a fair few photos of the park and also fantasy glades when I was there last in 1994. I will scan them all for everyone. I have such fond memories of these places, I wish my future children could have experienced the joy and excitement that we all felt.

It's been a while since I was here last but I managed to dig up a few photos of Peppermint Park, found some of fantasy glades too. Peppermint Park, 1993 5lz2fr.jpg28ozgx.jpg59vay1.jpgvy2lqs.jpgehn386.jpg It's such a shame our kids can't experience this too :(

From your pictures it looks like the park featured pedal bikes (A massive health and safety risk) and a swimming pool... I know most kids would prefer a much more hands on park experience perhaps with roller coasters and a water slide capable of launching uphill

Is Peppermint Park the place that had a ride that twisted through some bushland? I'm not quite sure how to describe it. The best description that I can give is that it was somewhat like a monorail, though with smaller cars that were open.

Hello, I realise its a few years since this post was originally posted, but thought you'd be interested to know it was my Grandparents Roy & Dorothy, in partnership with friends of theirs, who originally built, managed & ran Peppermint Park. The owners of Fantasy Glades were not at all involved with Peppermint Park. I worked there on weekends & in the school holidays. We even opened the park just for our family to celebrate Christmas Day a few times. MANY MANY MANY fantastic memories of that place.
