I have been doing some research recently, and I am stumped. Does anyone know if a map of Dreamworld in 1981/1982 exists? Lets say before Blue Lagoon? If anyone has it, I would love to get a picture of it, as I am very curious.

So you used to be able to get to the island and explore, like at Disneyland? I see references to a Fort and Lookout Tower. How did you get there? Or you couldn't?

Pretty sure the locations on the island were used as set/show pieces for the paddle wheeler, not as areas that guests could access.

Looking at the map though, would I be right in thinking that none of the rides that are on that map are in the park today? I'm not super familiar with Dreamworld pre about 2010 as I only visited once before then way back in about 1992.

technically the train, depending on how much of a purist you are. Model T's technically still exist. I'm not sure if Carousel and Bumper Cars are the same hardware, though naturally they're in a different location. And of course Thunderbolt's station still stands, though not really an answer to your question.

Original Bumper cars were powered from above type cars and not powered by the floor.
