There seems to be a fair amount of tree removal work at the moment. Sydney hasn't hardly any rain since the commencement of the works so it's been a good start.

Construction underway on the world’s best water park 09 September, 2012 The countdown is on to the opening of the world’s best water park, Wet‘n’Wild Sydney. NSW Premier Barry O’Farrell today formally commenced construction of the $115 million Wet‘n’Wild Sydney which is being built by Village Roadshow Limited on a 25-hectare site at Prospect. Wet’n’Wild Sydney is scheduled to open by summer 2013 with a world class array of thrilling slides and attractions for the entire family. Mr O’Farrell today also revealed the "first look" at Sydney’s new waterpark unveiling a number of world-first designs that will be features of the park. "Wet‘n’Wild Sydney is a world-class attraction for our world-class city and will cement Sydney’s place on the global theme park map, as home to the best water park in the world," he said. "It’s a great project for our city and our state. Today it’s delivering jobs in building and construction, and next year jobs in the entertainment and leisure sector.," Mr O’Farrell said. "Wet‘n’Wild Sydney will get pulses racing for both the young, and the young at heart. We will deliver an incredible entertainment experience that the whole family will want to visit time and again," Village Roadshow Theme Parks CEO Tim Fisher said. "Wet’n’Wild is the only global water park brand and Wet’n’Wild Sydney is its flagship. "Put simply Sydney is getting the best. We’ve got the industry’s best designers creating attractions many of which have never been seen in Australia before. "By the end of next year, we’ll be ready to launch Sydney’s biggest and best ever summer when Wet’n’Wild Sydney is open for fun," Mr Fisher said. "At the heart of the action will be Australia’s best beach. "Featuring a surfable wave, this amazing attraction will put the beach with-in reach for everybody," Mr Fisher said. Water conservation will be an essential part of the culture of Wet‘n’Wild Sydney with an integrated Water Management Plan to identify, evaluate and implement best-practice water conservation. This will include state-of-the-art water efficient design, filtration and recycling technology to maximise water re-use on site, including use of recycled water to meet 90% of the park’s toilet, landscaping and hard surface wash down requirements. Wet‘n’Wild Sydney is being developed by Village Roadshow Limited, Australia’s largest ASX listed theme park and entertainment company.

For the media attending the actual announcement at the Wet 'n' Wild Sydney construction site, they were given a flashdrive containing a Sustainability and Environment Fact Sheet, a Fly Through and an album of JPEG images of the slides. That video appears to show a lot more than what was originally in the plans. There looks to be a Skycoaster; Wet'n'Wild Jr-style area; a cross between a ProSlide Octopus and Kraken Racer; four AquaLoops instead of two, a standard Boomerango, a Bowling Alley and a Tantrum as well as some extra stuff which was in the original plans. Hopefully things like the Dueling Master Blasters are still in their final plans.

I do find it kind of odd the park will have a Boomerango ( see 1:09 ) and a Tornado Wave (see 1:23) From 1:05 to 1:14 you can see an overview of the quad master blaster. Edit: Hey, might as well just do the full breakdown of everything seen so far: 0:23 Double Wave Pool, Double Skycoaster 0:26 Dark Tornado , Tantrum Alley, Tornado Wave. 0:44 Kidz Tantrum, Kidz Racer, Various Childrens Slides 0:58 Kraken Octopus Racer, Aqualoops 1:06 Quad Master Blaster, Family Rattler, Boomerango, Raft Slides 1:11 Flowrider 1:16 Constrictor (Dark Green, on right) 1:18 Lazy River 1:20 Bowling Alley, two cloverleaf slides Hmm, the only thing I cant seem to find at the moment (That I would have expected) is a Rainfortress type play structure....At 0:50 you can see a standalone tipping bucket out in one of the pools, but nothing like what Whitewater World/Adventure World/Bucaneer Bay have.

With the top one being the most recent incarnation, and the original concept being .png (thus being unable to upload); Going with both what Gazza, and the video have said, the things the same i see are: The Skycoaster-v2 Tornado-Both Tantrum Alley-v1 Kidz Tantrum, etc.-v2 Octopus-both, but Kraken/Octopus-video Aqualoops-both Master Blasters-both Rattler-v1 Boomerango-both Raft Slides-both Lazy River/s-both Thats all i could see, anybody else?
