I think Belinda lied about it being open. I did ride Claw and WipeOut yesterday, they were fine.

In other news the Main Street shops are now decorated for Christmas Dreamworld are doing a Screamworld Christmas event this year. Will it be better than Movie Worlds White Christmas? No, it won't. But at least they try.

I can't be bothered uploading the rest as there's 1- too many of them, and 2 - they're nothing special. So here, have this instead. They were doing fine, or at least as fine as they could be in that shitty water.

Funnily enough the water looked pretty damned clear today, ducks & turtles looked fine to me!

Some of the best days I've had in parks (particularly MW) is arriving at opening during Schoolies week - families aren't on the coast because of the schoolies, and the schoolies are sleeping off their hangovers.

Colleague told me it was quiet at Sea World on Sunday, probably for the same reason.

Are schoolies still on week after next? Cause we're heading down to the coast for a week then. Will be good if we can score some low crowds at the theme parks.

Typically 1st week is Qld schoolies, second week interstate schoolies.

Ok, went to Dreamworld today. (Or technically yesterday judging by the time of this post)

1. Cameras have been installed on the western side of the Giant Drop! They're 4 small cameras mounted to the framework (about 4.5 cm diameter so very small). They sell the videos from the previously abandoned photo outlet along the exit pathway.
2. The Vintage cars are being run on weekdays now, it's a miracle!

3. They seem to have audio coming out of speakers mounted to the Buzzsaw lift hill.
4. They've reconfigured the red queue room in TOT2. See my terrible paint image below. (It feels far less squeezy yet at the same time holds way fewer people)

5. Went to Dough Bros. and it was the best pizza I'd ever bought! Beats any of the chains easily. Pretty reasonable prices too!

6. Triple Vortex is having some major work done to it, one funnel appears to have been replaced (different shape, flatter) and another has half of it taken off.

Triple Vortex is closed due to safety concerns until further notice.. Please tell me that they won't close the slide permanently..

They wouldn't do that. A few years ago the outside Jet Streams at WnW had to be modified due to safety reasons, and the speed that people were reaching. Like Jet streams I would say that the TV is just being modified to make the slide safer or so people travel down the slide quicker.

With Triple Vortex they must be fixing it up so 2 people can ride. Every time I've been at WWW only 1 person was allowed in a 2 person raft.
