Looks a bit high to be a sprinkler, but it's a big area. You'd think the sprinkler would be in the middle of the patch instead of right on the edge of it.

My thoughts were a camera tripod, sans camera. I frequently set up a tripod shot and then go hands on to take other shots leaving the tripod sitting there (but the likelihood of the photographer having access to that spot isn't high).

Definitely not surveying equipment though... let the speculation continue!

Yeh maybe I should have but I should't have to say that kind of stuff to make you believe that my facts are true mate. I have a lot of contacts around the gold coast and fill qite happy to share news that I find out about the parks with you guys
