Does the sign say "we will periodically close this attraction for safety reasons whilst the lake show is on" ?

^No, but it should. Or at least have a portable sign on the pathway saying that it will.

 Why have a portable sign? Is the attraction going to be moved?  Also if they do make a sign, I hope they can omit the word safety.  It gets tedious listening to people say 'for safety reasons' all day.

I went to SW yesterday, and had a quick walk through the area. It was quite windy and the sign that hangs off the ship had been blown over into the ship. If a staff member isn't going to pull it back down every time it gets blown up, I think they should add some support or weight to it, to stop it from happening. It isn't a major thing, but just something I noticed.

While I'm talking about the park, I can't exactly remember if someone said that the propeller for the storm wasn't spinning any more. But today it was, with the water spray going when riders go underneath it.

The issue wasnt that the propellor wasn't spinning, it was that it wasn't there at all. Was just a pole sticking out

Maybe Dreamworld had to borrow it for some theming on the log ride for a little while.

SW have added this map/trail activity for COTD. It seems like you can get a map at the first station and then follow the map to the other creatures and get it stamped. Seems like a good way to link the area as well as providing some extra fun for kids (photos: theme park social network)

It looks a similar idea to what they have at Underwater World.  My kids quite enjoyed stamping off each creature they found.

And there was a noticeable difference between the amount of customers there were between when the promotion did and didn't run. You have no idea of what kids and parents would do to try and get more of these cards. I've had bribes to try and get more off me. And they make a lot of money through all of the extra stuff that can be bought to go with the promotion.

Gimmicks to drive extra basket sales. If your basket is $16-$17 dollars you'll grab one more item to push it over the $20 mark to get the card/domino.

Are they Halal? If they are people could have complained about them being Halal and are no longer stocked for that reason.

A major australian retailer would not cease selling products due to a backlash towards Halal certification. If that was the case their would be no Cadbury chocolate, Kraft spreads, amongst many things.
