Fright Nights - 2015

Just a quick update, nothing major

Sound Stage 1&2 doors are open, shipping containers are sitting outside each door, I'm hoping they are using both Sound Stages for this years Fright Nights!

just saw 5 workers entering the Show Stage. they couldn't see anything as it pitch black in there, I was coming out of Scooby Doo when I saw them enter the building..

I'm very excited for Fright Nights now!

Saw the same thing from Arkham. Also the news stand popcorn drink building is sitting outside one of the stages. Interesting to see if they use it in a maze or for selling food like they usually do

The news stand building is/was being replaced with another built in its place in main st.

Glad to see they have finally replaced it! It was falling apart back in 2011 when I worked there haha.

This is off topic, but does anyone else think the portable toilets used during Fright Nights are a huge mood killer? I have seen some much nicer toilet "blocks" that could even probably be themed to the occasion.

^I don't even remember there were portable toilets at the events. Where have they been positioned in the past?

If you kept walking on the "main" pathway after you pass the entrance to the two studio mazes, they're on your right where the large door to studio 2(?) is (the one that's closest to WWF). You always walk past them as you exit the studio mazes and wrap the corner to go back on the main pathway.

^Ah yeah, I remember them now. I don't see them as a major issue and they are needed there because the closest toilets are back near the entrance.

As it nears the end of August, we should be receiving information any day now... Can't wait! Anybody notice any changes around the park recently? More specifically the maze in the arcade centre.

The speakers and lights for the scare alley have been put up (sort of) confirming the use of the studios. Not much else is new around the place.

Could very well be The Decent but does it have enough brand recognition for them to use it? I could understand if a new film is coming out, since a maze could be a great marketing tool (e.g Walking Dead, Evil Dead, Evil Within). I just wonder whether it has enough recognition for them to use it, seeing it 10 years old. Wolf Creek and Freddy Vs Jason at HHN work because they are iconic. I've been with friends who haven't seen a single horror film, yet they still make reference to those films and characters (like comparing Sonya and Freddy Krueger). 

I haven't personally heard too much of the film, so I think it may be unlikely. At this point however, any discussion is good discussion!

Yeah The Descent isn't well known, but it certainly did kick some serious ass.

I'd love to know some dates and details so I can make a cunning plan to attend the event.

It could just happen to be a made-up maze but who knows really. At first I thought it could be My Bloody Valentine but that's just a guess.

That's exactly what I thought! I would love to see a Purge themed scare zone, better than having zombies in my opinion.

The Purge worked really well at Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood, it would make a lively scare zone.

I have a feeling it would be more than likely to be a horror film by the looks of the sets and there are many which incorporates mines in them. The flipped car is pretty cool and a purge scare zone would be amazing, hopefully there is more information released soon !
