Good point Ash. The hilarity of this hype is that many businesses are cashing in on this fad without commercial agreement with the publishers of the game.  $25 per person, food available for an hour. Two hours in the park with no rides, no food, no beverage - makes for a very boring night for chaperones or anyone who can't get network service for whatever reason.

if the game does crash, it will be interesting to see what Dreamworld does.

They don't really care. They didn't with Ingress, and while this is insanely more popular, it's basically the same game.

Pokemon Go has added almost $8bn to Nintendo's market value. Soon there's reports that they will start selling the option of businesses buying the ability to become Pokestops to draw more customers.

I think it's a decent enough idea, though I think it's a bit rough to charge $25 to walk around a closed park without dinner being included.  I wonder if they'll change the lights on the top of ToT to match which team has the gym in the park? ;)

I haven't been to DW for a couple of months, and was surprised in how much they'd grown since I last saw them. And also surprised how high some of the walls are, and how much concrete there is. But I'm sure once it's all finished it will look great.

And a side note, a Pokemon pop up stand is at the front of the park:

I was in contact with Dreamworld today and one of things I asked them was is anything going to be happening with Mississippi river anytime soon, they said they do have plans for it which will hopefully kick off next year they didn't say anything about what but they said something.
