  • ^ Oh, you learn something new everyday.

  • Dreamworld had to defend themselves a little bit again when the Giant Drop broke down even know that it was for only 5 mins. http://www.news.com.au/travel/travel-updates/incidents/dreamworld-boss

Could be related to the Corroboree Stage 2, or the removal of the river rapids

I honestly believe that it's a given that Dreamworks rides will be operational, and it was only the wording of the initial press release being phonetically deconstructed that ever brought that into question

I know, and I know you can't make it on saturday so Sunday being part of the weekend makes you feel a bit better that you could be there, so i won't rain on that...

but in my opinion, day 1 would be the only one that counted. doesn't mean it has to be that way for you of course.

I get what you're saying, but even the park is calling it a "reopening weekend". Plus, judging by past events, the second day will be an improvement anyway.

It says on DWs maintenance page that it will be updated later today in regards to what rides and attractions will be open.

Also, the park map has now been updated and removed TRRR, Big Brother studio and interestingly the Log Ride too. The train circuit has been changed, the LEGO Store has been added, as well as a tiger image on the billboard where the Cub Kindy is.

Log ride is not on the map because Gold Rush is closed off for now.

I've attached a sceenshot of DW answering the question on Facebook to someone.

I'm imagining that the whole Gold Rush area, except for BuzzSaw would be closed for the whole Summer holidays, hence why it isn't on the map so it doesn't cause confusion. But I have surprised that BuzzSaw will reopen at some point in the near future.

All open rides have been announced. No Big 9 Thrill Rides will be open. Shockwave, DW Express and Log Ride will be closed. All ABC Kids World and Dreamworks Experience rides (excluding Pandamonium) will be open.

The 'Whats Open' page is also up again: https://www.dreamworld.com.au/park-info/whats-open

I am really hope for the best for Dreamworld in the future. I really hope the over come what has happened this year and it will win everyone over.

Sadly  i won't be able to go to Dreamworld at least until 2017.

I am a bit disappointed that they didn’t get one of the Big 9 going again for this weekend.

Same, i Thought we'd have seen MDMC & maybe the Claw up and running.
