So after the discussions in this thread and some chats on and off forums, I took on everyone's feedback and decided that a new logo wouldn't hurt. It was made years ago and admittedly I have zero arti

Nice Photo. Where was this taken?

Thanks. It was taken from the roof of a building in Bowen Hills. I honestly don't know what the name or address is though. Got a mate who lives there and could get me roof access.

^The hexagon is off centre vertically and the font looks a bit like it belongs on Nannas birthday card.

I think having the Australian flag makes it all a bit too busy and the faux leather texture I'm not sure what is bringing to the table.

If it was a flat monochrome silhouette of a shutter and a better font it would look way more classy and aesthetic. Only thing is making sure it doesn't end up looking like the aperture science logo.

+1 the logo should be semi transparent.

I agree I stuffed up the transparency. There's a few different versions of the watermark I've been playing around with. Ultimately they're all pretty much the same. Just slight modifications.

I'll have to check out the PSD when I get home and see what I can change. The texture is an easy one.

I like the flag on there personally.

Plus the blades of aperture science was the basis for the logo. Couldn't really get GlaDOS to work as a logo.

This is how I'd do it...

Just post the damn photos given they are just for fun and there is no business involved.

Why is the latest trend for every man and his dog to try and pass themselves off as some Global Media Powerhouse?

Just got back from the Ekka tonight. The Space Roller was having all sorts of issues, some major and others not so much. About 5 of the lights from the ride fell off and one of them hit someone. This was all caused because the arm got stuck on its way up and it suddenly stopped and sat up the top for about 3 minutes. After this, there was 10 riders stuck on the ride for about 10 or so minutes because the restraints wouldn't unlock.

Im honestly surprised that they kept running the ride after the arm getting jammed. What surprised me even more is that they didn't even check it. They just kept going. Is this normal?

Let me get this straight... Lights came flying off and hit someone??

and they just kept operating?

and this is not in the news??

THANK GOD FOR THE FOUNTAIN REACTION!

I haven't seen any articles on the Gold Coast Bulletin yet so I am sceptical about this. Massive case of pics or it didn't happen as I am sure if I saw this happen it would be photos/video for all to backup my claims.
