  • Here's a crazy thought - if the ride doesn't work with either a full load or an empty load, it definitely shouldn't be open. If you were going to hop on a ride at the Ekka and the carnie out front sai

Arrow loopers are like the coaster equivalent of an 80's corolla; they are known to be extremely reliable and run forever unless a park doesn't maintain it properly which Dreamworld has apparently don

  • Nearly the whole day?  Bloody hell, that's got to be at least three, maybe four cycles?

But everyone knows Koala’s are not really bears, they they are marsupials - quite the polar opposite really...

There is no need to get grizzly about it........I reckon the look on your face at this instant would be a Kodiak moment.....

Can confirm if there is a queue of 40. They will split the queue.

A queue of 40 isn't so much bother. Waiting one cycle isn't that terrible. The issue I have is if there is say 28, they stop the 8.... if the queue doesn't get another 12 - do those 8 people miss out? thats my issue.

When I went in June I had this exact issue at the end of the day. Not enough for a final run so we missed out.

Here's a crazy thought - if the ride doesn't work with either a full load or an empty load, it definitely shouldn't be open. If you were going to hop on a ride at the Ekka and the carnie out front said "just give 'er a bit aye, if we load too many people on it doesn't work properly" you'd be calling Queensland WHS, so why is this any different?

Here we have Gary Weiss stating before the inquiry that both him and the Ardent board are "committed to ensuring Dreamworld becomes recognised as Australia's global benchmark for theme park safety" but he's got a ride that literally half works and three signature roller-coasters that have been closed for months with no reason why and no end to their closures in sight.

Enthusiasts need to take their rose-tinted glasses off - this is a bloody mess.

I just don’t understand, it can clearly run empty for test cycles (as it was doing the other day and every morning I’d presume) and it can run with 20 people.

Why would it not work with 10? Or 30? It’s just complete mindless stupidly, without any rational reasoning

I don’t think people understand. It runs with 20 so that the people still in the queue will be more than if they loaded it completely because than they only have to get a maximum of 20 people and sometimes they’ll only need a couple people. And the miminum is 20 because there is no point running the ride for a couple of people, it’s not a carnival ride. Just put yourselves in the boots of the same people who decided to put a roof on the log ride.

But I don’t want to put myself in the boots as those people who put roofs on the log ride, no other theme park in the world has put those boots on, so I’m definitely not.

But basically what you are saying is the park doesn’t have a big enough crowd to run it’s rides fully. That’s a crap excuse really.

I just do not understand alot of their rides are already closed anyway. One can’t they just operate the very few rides they have open consistently and correctly. MW don’t do this even when it’s dead I went on DD 9 times in a row being the only person on it. Take note Dreamworld!!

I think anyone defending them on this needs to drink less kool aid. There is a minimum to be cheap and run it less and a maximum because it's broke.  The fact they turned a group of less than 20 away at the end of the day is pretty shameful.
