WNW - GC upgrade ideas

Maybe???????

It's a terrible idea.  You walk in a water park and all you want to do is get your kit off and get into the water.  First opportunity you get you’re going to drop your junk into the first locker you see.  Also being you have more junk in your trunk to unload than you would carry into a theme park you want to lighten your load ASAP.

I completely get that. Many water parks have lockers spread out with change facilities etc. Maybe it is just a struggle on the GC?.

Don’t WNW-GC utilise an digital cash system link to your wrist band? AW does this and means you can buy food and drinks anywhere without needing to go to your lockers.

Do you think 5% of guest using Splash Cash at WnW calls for a new food outlet at the far end of the park?

It wouldn't be a complete brand new restaurant or something. But I've already been proven its a stupid idea anyway. The WNW "splash cash" bands are alright. The former park in Sydney tho had a much more superior system. Shame GC never got it.

Change up Splash Cash to be like MagicBands with a link to a regular card, that way you’re not loading money on or having to recover what you didn’t spend when you’re done for the day.

And maybe start trying to put a theme in to an area. Disney have a water park based on winter, Universal’s is based around a Volcano, so the net is pretty wide.

I’d just like to see either some shade over the concrete footpaths, or misters keeping it wet so you don’t burn your feet walking between attractions.

I know no one has said outright they where stupid. It's my own wording to my own wording. I get why some would not agree with my ideas and I respect that.

Righto then.. Let me see if I got this ..

Seeing's no-one has said they are stupid (Or any body else, for that matter) what exactly is your point?

Aqualoop is semi-transparent. They're not solid colour. If you paint them, Aqualoop will become The Black Hole 2.0.

There is an American company that specialises in painting rides and slides and they have the special equipment to paint semi transparent slides. LPS hired them to paint some of their rides.

Would you or perhaps another member know more about this technique? I wondered about this recently - I presume it's some combination of bleaching/sanding the oxygenated layer and re-applying/lacquering?

I popped into the park this morning to have a look around at everything and to see where they could improve the park (and any other small updates)

Good to see they've finally updated the in-park maps

But despite it permanently closing over a year ago, they still have signage showing it

There has been no further changes since my last update on its SBNO

A look at the Black Holes works

Also, a heap of sheltering has been removed that was covering the tables

And the Tornados shade sail has been removed (hopefully it gets replaced before Summer arrives

The thing that annoys me most about this park is they partly remove things or don't bother removing them at all

^I really hope they invest in a new slide tower here. It is the perfect area for a great new thrill slide that the park desperately needs. I would love to see a TornadoWave (despite it being somewhat similar to the Kamikaze) it does provide a new experience and is at none of the GC parks.

As already mentioned, some of these slides need a repaint

Something they were working on earlier in the year is finished and that's the refurbishment and expansion of the deck around the Constrictor and River Rapids

Something else I noticed was a lot of the ground needs a good pressure clean. Some of it is very dirty (particularly around the front of the park). And, they need to try and do something about the changing rooms (mainly the front ones) because they are very smelly and slippery. MW for some reason also has this problem.
