From the concept photos it does appear to be a short tower, so looks to be almost at max height just need to build the concrete floor and fence to complete tower

Structure don't look very high. Slides look like they going to be very short

Tower of terror not going anywhere, it is staying

Now, looking back over your posts, you do seem to have expressed genuine interest, and even shared your opinion on some interesting topics that contributed nicely to the discussion, but the other half of your content seems to be baseless statements that are super critical, without any real backing or substance.

So, you may be a really clever troll, or you may be genuinely trying to participate in discussion without realising the impact some of your wild statements are having. At the risk of taking the troll bait, if that's what you're doing - i'm going to try and genuinely offer some advice, rather than just flaming you and starting a bitch fight.

(pause for dramatic effect whilst the majority of the membership let their jaws drop).

Unfortunately on Parkz, the negative is always remembered way more than any positive contributions, and you aren't doing yourself any favours. I see one person has already chosen to block you.

So here's the thing - if you're expressing an opinion, state it as such. Add a little substance to what you're saying. If you think something will get removed, say why. likewise if you think it'll stay. We've all been wrong from time to time, but usually if the evidence supported our conclusions at the time, its justifiable as to why we held that opinion.

Saying such things like 'bulldoze the monorail' with nothing else doesn't help. The artist impressions of Atlantis show the monorail clearly working its way through the new area, so the basis of your statement is a little jarring. Did you make that statement purely on the basis that it has an open ended maintenance period published? Because the alternative - that it is closing so that construction can commence in that area - is a much more plausible explanation, given those artist impressions.

Likewise, as the adage goes, never show a fool an incomplete job - the slides are currently being constructed. As mentioned above, there are still support pieces in the carpark. As for the slides 'being very short' - check the concept art. that may help you visualise a bit better.

Hopefully, i've not wasted my time. For everyone else - never fear. I'm sure i'll let loose a spray next time.

I drove past this morning.

The thick columns seen in the photos above are at max height because there's no more flanges for extra parts, and they have the lugs for the crane on top of the tube.

The start platform is assembled on the ground, and its legs are only about a meter long, plus the height of the handrail, so yeah the finished structure will probably end up being a couple of meters higher than what was photographed.

Looking great. As for the height, being body slides the tower does not need to be a massive structure. Shorter tower allows people to traverse the tower multiple times without feeling as winded at the taller towers.

Not to mention, body slides don't have block brakes and you have to wait for everyone to clear before the next person can go. Any higher / longer and slide time stretches out and queue time builds

Nearmap update from early October. Gives a good idea how it fits in with existing buildings, etc

I’m interested to see where they place the queue/how it will be managed. Will they have a queue at the bottom and just let so many people up the tower at once, or will they split the stairs into different queues depending on what slide you want to go on. Accessing the stairs does look a bit tight too, so I wonder if they will get rid of those shaded areas to the right

Hopefully it'll just be like whitewater mountain - get to the top and then split off to the one you want to ride - it's not like Green Room and Wedgie where very different groups are the target - they're all fairly similar, and most people are going to want to ride each one so it should even things out - people will just line up behind whichever queue is the shortest.

.. exactly  - and adding 6 single rider slides will do wonders for Capacity overall + for People like me with a Partner/group that refuses to do water slides (I dunno, bad experience on one as a Child maybe?) so now I get 6 more to enjoy on my own.. sweet 😀
