The latest Nearmap update of the Sunshine Coast (29 Oct, 2020) shows plenty has happened at the Palmview park.

A large rectangular slab has been placed adjacent to the yet to be opened SX360.

Plenty of orange track, grey trusses and a crane are all clearly visible.

This also means we now have three coasters under construction at the same time in South East Queensland.

Coaster cars perhaps?

Well, now i have to set up alerts on Aussie World too.

 

Nothing showing in the sunshine coast PD online yet. Could this be a temporary \ travelling ride?

Didn't they submit all 5 rides in one go?

I stand corrected - PDonline had a 'view more' button i didn't see, and none of the applications are in date order.

Sunshine coast has a lot to improve on their PDonline system compared to Brisbane and GC councils.

It's an updated Reverchon Spinning Coaster, see HEIDI at Oktoberfest for layout changes. Not sure if it will have the launch hill, but it was very fun to ride! and the banked curve was a lot of fun too...

Shame its going to be called THE RAT...

This is so old we talked about it back when I was on PCL. These have been approved and just chilling since TRR put the whole industry on a halt. 

Drove past Aussie World yesterday, there was a crane on-site and the coaster was looking near complete from what I could see.

Wow, I may just get on a new coaster this year!

Unlikely since Aussie world’s other new ride still hasn’t opened when sx360 construction started in 2018

The coaster would have been ordered under the new legislation so could have come out of the factory better prepared.

Just saw this Youtube video of this- looks good!! The launch hill looks like heaps of fun- hopefuly this is the version we get!!

It was a lot of fun! Was my first ride at Oktoberfest last year. The family also owns the 80m Funtime drop tower - Hangover! 
The lift actually had some force to it and it was a nice addition to the coaster!
