Below are the recent updates to dreamworld's early 2021 maintenance schedule 

Has buzzsaw reopened yet? The website says it reopened a couple days ago, but still lists the dates (which usually means it hasn’t reopened)

it was open yesterday, however broke down around 11 and didn’t open again for the rest of the day but was testing throughout the day

BuzzSaw was operating fine on Monday, it’s just that the camera wasn’t working in the morning but they later got that issue fixed.

I’m surprised to see that BuzzSaw isn’t closed all year for construction. 

I think it makes sense to move most maintenance to Feb as borders are likely to still have an impact on tourism, but boy I think I will skip the park in Feb with all that maintenance.

Does anyone know why The Giant Drop is the only ride without a scheduled maintenance date?

The ride is designed to fall so if it breaks from lack of maintenance it still operates as intended.

That may be the case but it’s still got to be checked. And what about everything else’s?  Harnesses, safety systems, etc.

I’m assuming since there’s 2 giant drops they would just alternate maintenance by having one in operation.

Than again, they should have two sides operating during a busy summer period. Covid means they need a four seat gap yet they only have one side operating.

I know there was an element of sarcasm here, but for the sakes of anyone taking this seriously, while GD will always 'failsafe', the rope itself requires very careful inspection and attention. Cable snaps on Intamin Giant Drop models are well documented, both in the US and AUS from my memory - and has literally cost people an arm and a leg.

BuzzSaw is under maintenance once again after around two and a bit weeks of operation. It was scheduled to reopen on the 10th, 11th and 12th and is now pushed back to the 26th. Any speculations on why?

The front fell off

Just drove past dreamworld and there's a cherry picker up on Buzzsaw's brakes. Not sure how long that's been there.

The arms are back in place on Pandamonium but the reopening date has been pushed back a few days 

At first I thought they’d changed the actual ride vehicle, then realised they just haven’t attached any of the theming to it 

Probably worth a mention that WWW moves into "'seasonal" mode next week.

After Australia Day (Tuesday) the park then moves to only Fri-Sun operation.

Fri 11-4

Sat/Sun 10-5

Fully 6 is now Fully 3, with slide 1 added to the closed slides along with 2 & 3 (speed slides). 
 

the remaining 3 slides have their water pressure significantly reduced on previous visits, with the slides flowing more like a lazy river than a water slide...
