Why is Jet Rescue coming out of maintenance for two days, and then going back into maintenance?

With both of those maintenance periods only being four/five days each?

I'm no engineer or ride expert by any stretch, but wouldn't it be better just to have 12 day maintenance period?

Maybe they are planning in advance to break something in the first maintenance period that requires a second a few days later

If you look at the dates in between (13th, 14th) in March fall on the weekend. March is usually quiet during the week and weekend get a higher attendance in the parks. So looks like what they need to do can be done around the weekend, which is better than having it closed.

Jet Rescue getting work done to its track (and there is new signage for closed rides)

I believe this has been like this for some time, but the access path that was alongside the log ride station is now fenced off

They are replacing the old rockwork along the old splashdown for the log ride

And Patrick’s is almost entirely removed because of Leviathan construction. All that remains now is the attraction signage and control booth.

Agree it is an improvement on standard 'closed for maintenance' or 'under refurbishment'.

Given their access to digital sign printers, i'd love to see them whip up a custom sign for each ride they can just swap out as needed.

Dreamworld has typically done this in the past, and has thrown in a pun to boot. Have some fun with this stuff I say.

Agree, so long as the plain language is below for those who are too short.

I do remember though Dreamworld also used to do it with laminated A4 paper and zip ties too... so not something i'd like to use to 'set the standard' ;)

Couple changes to do with Sea Worlds current rides under maintenance:

- after months of closure due to Leviathans Construction, Patrick’s Jellyfish Frenzy now has a reopening date for the 17th of December

- Vortex has been pushed back again from the 17th to the 20th of December.

- Dora’s Carousel went down for its second lot of maintenance (8 days after reopening) and is now rescheduled to reopen on the 18th of December.

Next years maintenance schedule has still not been uploaded unlike the other Village Parks, let’s just hope storm is closed in the winter months instead of the summer months smh.

also with Vortex’s maintenance, the gondola has been lifted from parked positioned to about a 45 degree angle for the past couple of days, does anyone else think it could be a possibility they are installing fountains to interact with the riders or could they reprogramming the ride to do a new cycle?

Just as an fyi, it was doing full cycles Tuesday arvo. Here’s hoping what you saw was for some fountains. 🍻
