Don't agree with Webslave about Bermuda... If you found the video on a loop at the end of the day then it wasn't BT's heyday, I remember even at about 4:45 they would still be running the Pre-Show. It was somewhat essential to the story really the pre-show IMO. And it was Viking's Revenge that was first quoted by Arrow but the park built it in house for a fraction of the cost. BT really was an amazing Dark Ride, nothing has been built before it or after in Aus that even comes close. Tunes was probably the runner up, but it could match Bermuda in effects and ride system. The thrill BT managed to achieve with a basic boat ride system with ZERO restraints is probably Disney level IMO.
  3. Sultan was not the parks first tiger, he was part of the Awesome Pawsome, a litter of 4 tigers born at the same time (Sita, Sultan, Rama & Taj). Mohan was the parks first Tiger, bought in for the breeding program (and father to the first litter The Awesome Pawsome).

Pre-ride shows and line-hiding certainly provided a more enjoyable experience, especially at Movie World. It comes down to staffing. LTRR, Gremlins, BTR, Studio Tour, all required acting staff. Whoever the bean counter was that decided it was too expensive never understood the importance of immersion to enhance the ride/attraction, and how these pre-shows made us forget we were still lining up. Gremlins' was great (if you hadn't experienced it before / in a while). LTRR as well if the riders participated. Oh, and yeah. I'm back.
  5. I didn't know until just recently that the SeaWorld skyway had closed down does anyone know why it did and is it just me or is SeaWorld going a little over the top closing down rides. Sea Viper Pirate Ship Skyway etc. They have closed a pile of rides but haven't opened a lot.
  6. My god, so there's ANOTHER new attraction coming? Could this be the most projects we've seen our parks undertake at one time? This year is shaping up to be great for the parks. Let's hope they're only good additions!

I might have my information wrong, but wasn't Bermuda built in-house after a quote was higher than Sea World was willing to pay? Either way, I'm really bummed I never had the chance to experience Bermuda back in its heyday. I only got to experience the sub-par version before it closed, with no audio, no fire, and many effects seemingly not working. Let's hope we get something in the same vein one day...
  9. FOR THE LAST BLEEDING TIME IT IS NOT A BLOODY DARK RIDE. WE HAVE CONFIRMATION IT IS A ROLLER COASTER. You're not getting a bloody dark ride, and even if you were, you cannot expect to hold MW to the same standard as Universal given the budgets involved.
