  1. Hi there all! Here's another update to the construction! Loopy Lighthouse is being assembled, and will be done soon! It reminds me a lot of the old Lighthouse that was where the Helter Skelter is now. The last ride, Silly Sub has arrived! And will start assembling soon. Be prepared to go on S.S 01 (Or S.S OI)! A new ramp is being assembled for the disabled into Luna Land. We'll see some miclilanious items coming in now (aka Scenery). The ride vehicles for Boomerang have been unrapped. The colours are really bright. And very appropriate for the Gadigal People who used to live where LPS stands. The shed that was mentioned on the plans has now been assembled in between Boomerang. Some steel poles have been put around Big Dipper. Some of them are organised. So these may be used for the Big Dipper. Before I go, don't forget to check out the Gnome on Glen Street. You're supposed to pat him anywhere. Litterly, ANYWHERE! For good luck. I usually pat him on the top of his hat and cute little nose. He also likes the ANZACs. Next update will be whenever I get there!
  2. The general idea is that these guys DON'T collide with each other or other objects causing damage, but as these cars are only on stage, and not used for street-legal work, you can economise on the most commonly damaged items - bumpers - by using simple "clip on, tear off" style parts that are easily fitted and cost little. SMash repair is far cheaper than mechanical repair. Its mostly cosmetic stuff that's easily patched and painted overnight. Why do they need to cater to non-english speakers? And regardless, why does a show have to be so dumbed down to be understood without the dialogue? I've seen Disney shows and attractions done in Japanese and Cantonese and I was able to follow along with them just fine without resorting to slapstic exaggerated garbage. THIS. 100% THIS. Most of us do. Unfortunately, (and i'm sure what you meant) is that few decision makers would do so. Nobody is gonna admit their own product is shit when they've served it up again and again calling it world class. They need gordon ramsay to come in and kitchen nightmare the park and tell it like it is.
  3. Ah yes, the Luna Park gnome of wisdom
  4. But there's only eight balloons? (Wonderland fans rejoice.... Boo Boo's Balloon Race has returned!) Just in case anyone was wondering where Dronkey's Flyers ended up... Who did it better?
  5. The Aviary has reopened. The only parts of Corroboree left to reopen are the woodshed, train station, theatre and the indigenous presentations.
  6. To add on here they also revealed the logos
  7. ahh 5 minutes late!!, anyway here is the full images of them
  8. I wouldn't worry too much about the rendering, It has other inaccuracies like the track and support colour being wrong, the trains likely to not be hot wheels themed, the big dipper entrance not being bright blue etc etc. I'm sure you'll be able to get under the track just fine.
  9. For families and the average tourist, I would find Dreamworld's hotel location to be much more convenient. Basically across the road from one of the largest shopping centres on the GC, with great dining and evening entertainment options, rail and bus next door. I really feel, whilst i will cater for all tourist types, Village's hotel will predominantly aimed at getting a large piece of the corporate market. Comparatively Dreamworlds' corporate and events sphere is much smaller, so they can go full focus on a family destination.
  10. TBF, he knew it was complicated but he cared more about beating the Russians. So maybe they just need some actual competition?
  11. The first half of the coaster is almost complete. The track that leads into the loop was installed today, plus more supports
  12. Couldn't agree more 😂
  13. Are they moving Arkham to the northern car park for decoration?
  14. Double reveal today, Cloud Nine and Freaky Frogs:
  15. I've still only ever seen Water World at USJ. Enjoyed it the whole time.
  16. The first time I saw Water World was at Universal Japan. No English at all in the show and I thought it was the best thing ever
  17. I'm sure there's millions & millions of people who have never seen or heard of "Water world" but still some how get a kick out of watching the live show every time.
  18. Not too sure when personal digs came into the conversation...whilst I have been here for years, I’m certainly not depressed nor do I think my commentary or posts on this forum are depressing...
  19. There is a former PA car that is parked next to the Roxy during DC Superheroes and Supervillains/ Fright Nights. It now has GCPD decals. It’s a Chevrolet Caprice, not a Ford Crown Victoria. Regarding the cop car next to Doll Haus, it’s the cop car from the Wolf Creek 2 maze.
  20. Yeah I do have a hell a lot of disposable income. I also have 3 kids, whom would like to experience something different. And my kids have been to Disney world and Disney land. So yeah would be good for them. I know they won't get the Disney input in our hotels as overseas, but imagine being a kid and waking up to a roller-coaster next to your window?! I know your a depressing dude, been here for years, but when something like this happens maybe to other people it will be a cool thing.
  21. This idea is awesome! Unfortunately, the Police Academy costumes are gone. However, if I recall Movie World might still have Lassard’s golf buggy. Several items were sold at an silent auction Movie World held in 2014. Props and vehicles such the 20th birthday cake, the Police Academy cop car, a turtle from LTRR, life preserver rings from LTRR, An alien from the Bermuda Triangle, The Penguins train etc. I think the Daffy car is still around but I highly doubt Mr Freeze’s truck, the Daily Planet parade float and Spooky Island parade float are sitting BOH. I have heard that some older characters are making an appearance.
  22. If it's fir MW's 30th, why the photo of a rake? Also it's SW's 50th. Not saying anything but would that not be worth a little bit more of a push since it's a round number, and you're launching a heap of shit?
  23. This year is also Dreamworld 40th birthday, do we think we will see some celebrations for this milestone? Maybe they’ll open Steel Taipan on their birthday?
  24. Thought so, It feels too soon to be testing
  25. The Gumbuya carpark is so good - I heard a lot of people don't even go inside!
  26. i understand but i don't want to upset him because he has a passion for theme parks and he was crying for almost 2 weeks after TOTll closed and was almost the same when wipeout closed and it's difficult to stop him from coming on here i have got him to play a game on roblox called theme park tycoon 2 to get his mind of this and that seems to be going well for now but i'll have to speak to his parents on that. = )
  27. Yeah is there a problem or something but he said he is taking some time off from the forums he said he feels neglected from something idk he is from the special education class due to having mild autism and i have been a long time friend of his and him and me every year go to the all theme parks on the gold coast and always have the best times because it's what makes him happy. If he has upset you guys or something i am very sorry about it.
