It still surprises me that after nearly 7 years it’s still SBNO. And despite them getting Flowrider open again after COVID, it has once again been removed from every part of the website

I’ve just been past the park and from the outside the park is looking so much better. The repainted slides make such a difference (similarly to when WWW had its repaint). There’s no new car park entry sign yet, and for anyone who’s driven past before it is hard to see much other than slide towers. The park have been sharing updates on their socials most days and they’re really putting a lot of love into the park to give itself a identity and pleasant guest experience.

That’s kind of surprising and feels like it’s more that the staff didn’t care and not a new policy. Happy to be wrong. But for this ride in particular, people getting their bright screen phones out would distract other rides and take away from the experience

Which is why I think the seperate stations will be retained, as will most of the structure for the existing station/queue building. I think all of the decor and maybe even the roof will be removed and replaced to suit an enclosed station that has been dedicated. I can’t imagine the trains themselves being less than a million each, plus the couple of million for taking all the track off, stripping, priming, repainting and all of the new launch and electrical systems the ride is getting. So that leaves no more than $15mil to strip back the existing building, extend/enclose to whatever extent they have planned and complete all of the theming and elements around the coasters layout. I suspect they’ll be using a more reputable (and probably expensive) contractor for the theming elements to ensure its not going to start cracking after 18 months.

The difference is village key you had to pay for, while DW Plus is just a marketing strategy for provide extra benefits. When I first saw the announcement I did think it was another add on for pass holders, but then realised it’s not the case. They are also marketing it as +Plus, which I read as Plus Plus!

On top of this mornings info and confirmation of all last years mazes returning, it seems that the precincts and panic rooms will be repeated again too. The horror encounters will also return, but there will be two new ones. Clayface and Evil Dead Burn (to coincide with the movie releases), will join Pennywise and Valak

Tickets are now on sale, revealing the dates for this year. The park have said this is a presale and ticket prices will be going up. I think this is one of the first dedicated presales they’ve done, which gives me the vibe that there may not be much new this year and they’re trying to lock in sales before they announce anything. This could be because it hasn’t been updated yet, but under the Fast Track purchasing page it lists last years mazes as included: Also: Event season pass is $499. First Bite is $59 Maze Fast Pass is $99 Ride & Maze Fast Pass is $199 Panic Rooms are $139

If so, they will be its fourth year. They must’ve paid some serious money for this license for it to return again, because no ‘scare’ maze that is this poor (scares, not production quality) should not be returning for this long

@New display name was just wanting to know if it’s still worth it if people have been recently. Is the experience being maintained, service still good, is the food quality vs price still good, etc.

Has anyone been to topgolf recently? I was just looking at pricing as I have been in a few years and didn’t realise how expensive it’s become. $60 before 5pm, $80 after Monday to Thursday $75 before 2pm, $95 after on Friday $99 all day Saturday and $95 all day Sunday.
