More stuff like this would seem to be a good fit in the dark ride sections. From what I've seen so far the indoor sections and the promised 'show scene' seem pretty underwhelming. Still a great ride and well presented, but I was hoping for a bit more from the indoor parts

First thing DW need to do in the show room is replace the turntable bell with another noise that is more fitting to the theme.

The audio in that room is solid.
My nit pick is the transitions between tracks are jarring… should flow better.
But that could be playback system limitations, programming or audio composition (hey hire a good TD ;) )

But otherwise audio is good

Dreamworld posted a short video of JR going from the turntable, forwards through the track and  back to the turntable with Front, Rear and face cam of 2 riders.

Pretty standard nothing much here, but it does have a not so subtle dig at their neighbours in the comment/description.

🎢 Think you’ve ridden it all?

Meet the world-first inclined triple-switch turntable roller coaster… yep, Jungle Rush changes tracks mid-ride — backwards included.

12 airtime moments. One wild jungle. You in? 🌪️🐍

Finally had a go on this last week. Very impressive.. only nit pick would be to enclose the bit of track from the station to the turntable room, add add more lighting effects and haze to the turntable room .

I’m not sure if this is actually new, or I just haven’t noticed it before. But during my visit the other day it seemed like they’d added a few more figures and bits of theming around the (previously blank) interior sections where the coaster enters/exits the building.

I went on Saturday and everything looked the same to me, obviously the latest addition was the blue crystal in the que line. But no difference in the turn table/dark ride area

The Bats? They've been there for a couple months now. Still waiting on (presumably) some Spiders...

Nah, they were in the other tunnels on the walls (and possibly under the track as well, it was hard to tell when travelling through there so quickly).

i think the ride is very close to completion, we know they still have one more exterior waterfall to turn on. i still have hope that they’ll paint the black walls inside the temple (which would make sense to do after these holidays as it’s the quietest part of the year), and maybe add some fog / mist effects on the entries and exits of the temple.

Jungle Rush has been cloned at in Vietnam, if anyone wants to see how it all looks exposed.

Looks so strange without a plane and car ride in the middle.

But it would be a good layout for parks wanting to put flat rides or other stuff in the middle too.

Looks like they have added Bunnings festoon lights around jungle rush .

A cheap fix to perhaps a lighting concern at night . World class theming there ?

question as only seen photos and don’t know what it looks like in person yet

Perhaps you could share the photos?

There's plenty of world class theme parks that use festoon lights for night lighting certain areas. I doubt they're all sourced from bunnings though, and not necessarily a cheap option for sure...

AK Asia night

In Rivertown's case, given Murray built an entire bush-mechanic's workshop, is it that unreasonable to think that maybe they figured out how to string up some lights?

Honestly - without even seeing it, it's a far better option and fits the atmosphere of Rivertown. If they wanted to be cheap they could have just mounted a few LED floodlights on the existing buildings and ruined the feel of the area entirely. guarantee they'd have been cheaper too.

I'll wait until I see it in person but given your recent post history i'm inclined to reserve judgment.

Considering there are lighting rigs set up in these photos and the night markets weren’t on this weekend, my guess is this was all set up for a private event.

They’ve also got the DWF Gala at the start of next month which will be held in Rivertown/Tiger Island.

I've seen the lights in the park and they look temporary.

Unfortunately not temporary . Looks like a cheap attempted fix to a lighting problem

Source?

Given, as has been pointed out, the lighting truss and moving heads along the river - it does seem like they are set for a specific event. They have their gatsby fundraiser coming up - though it does seem a bit far away - but maybe more light was needed for the restaurant night trade (can't imagine the moving heads would be for that though).

Nothing about anything i've seen so far says permanent. If it is a fix for a lighting problem, i'm assuming it's still temporary until the permanent solution is fabricated - Though I will say i've been in Rivertown at night without these and I didn't feel like the lighting was lacking.

Ask jaggs journey . On his video he said it.
