The consensus dream water ride - a well themed shoot the chutes - I'd argue will bring people back.

Jurassic Park helped set attendance records for USH when it opened. There's certainly precedent.

But when Jurassic Park opened, the machinery didn't eat the guests.

This is a really dumb argument when you think about it. Should dreamworld not get a water ride outside the water park ever again because of the accident especially one of a type that’s never been built before at our parks?

A shoot the chutes is not a rapids ride and most of the modern ones employ a standard roller coaster chain lift & anti rollback which makes the machinery eating the guests impossible. You know like on Wild West falls?

the fact west continues to get a massive line shows that the appetite for water rides still exists.

Think you’ve missed the entire intention and context of Dapto’s comment… or you haven’t watched Jurassic Park..

For those who didn’t even think the land would be open until Easter, the park has announced a After Dark event on January 18 that will have the land open for.

Based on the rapid progress so far this month, I think they’ll be ready for Boxing Day.

Thanks Brad. I'm a little disappointed that didn't get more appreciation, I thought it was pretty good.

@Baconjack here's a sneak peak.

Yeah there's been a lot of back and forth over whether they'd be ready, and it's looking like those who thought it wouldn't make it's due date were wrong about that - but just as people were saying it won't make boxing day, it could just as easily not make January 18th - don't count your chickens - though the eggs are starting to crack...

I think the days of 2D shitty signage are gone for GC theme parks

Don't speak too soon, i'm sure Village still has the digital sign printer - they'll want to get their money's worth out of it.

At least until it's closed for unscheduled maintenance until further notice, and then taken away by officer clark and the aliens. We can hope, and... watch the skies.

Jungle rush seems to be operating with guests, staff perhaps?

There is a video camera mounted in the middle of the coaster on a tripod and everyone is wearing brand new, brightly coloured clothing with no brand names.

They're shooting a commercial and promo photos.

Well aware, promotional video, hoping to see a pov very soon. As Greg Young said the layouts for this can be endless. So I’m excited to see

Did you hear Jungle Rush has a new state of the art fire protection system? the roof is cantilevered to open and vent smoke from the inside? The coaster train headlights are actually fire detectors - they can identify if fire is in front of the train, and they quickly reverse back down the track (the real reason why the car can run in both directions).
