From Jagg's Journey's latest video, there are markings leading up to RR's entrance which show a bigger queue:

I think it is good IMO. I remember Road Runner's queue extending down past the trees when I was there in August so will help to make a longer official queue area.

You will find it is probably as permanent as the markings used to mark out the "extended queue". I don't think it is the first time the park has done something like this for peak periods and I don't think it will be the last.

I believe those markings are from two years ago when the park reopened after Covid, and then have also been used for the parks busy periods (ie the crazy summer crowds just had) because the attractions physical queue isn’t big enough to handle the crowd levels 

Yeah, if it was markings for an actual construction project, they wouldn't need markings for Fast Track/Virtual Queue, or arrows showing direction of travel. It's just to guide guests the right way if the queue overflows.
