That's a good find themeparksgc, I think further to that the teaser "the battle begins" also would to me suggest shooting dark ride. There are growing rumblings on the grapevine that this ride may indeed be something quite special.

I remember during IAAPA when TPR had that interview with Sally Corp and they talked about a big attraction with a major license opening around Christmas I said on here could it have something to do with one of our dark ride replacements. Could my guess way back then been correct??

That's funny because there was actually concept art for a mad max thunderdome coaster type ride from back when the park opened.

Was at MW today. The Batman building had various perimeter doors open, with temp fencing and black plastic in front of these doors. Particularly from the GL queue you could see the inside was gutted, with bits dangling down from the roof. There's also a full size skip sitting around on the other side of the fence to final turn on Superman, and when on the coaster you could see it was full of theming foam and other bits of scrap. No photos sorry.

Just wanted to say thanks to Gazza for the update. I'm keen to follow the progress on this ride and it's interesting to hear that it's already gutted

Whilst the park has resembled California adventure a little but lately with all the construction I think it's pretty safe to say the place will be a hot ticket come October with pretty much 3 new attractions including GL

^ Oh absolutely. The LW refurb was much needed but they could have easily milked GL for another year before thinking about new attractions. This truly shows that VRTP have great direction for the park.

Totally agreed. Gotta love VRTP... especially when they surprise us (ie. not just the standard new attraction every 3/4 years Ardent style). I was just thinking that this $2 mill they are spending on LW will actually probably bring them a significant return on their money alone. Then you add in all the other new stuff and the park will probably power along attendance wise

Turn another ride backwards and add at least one turbine?

^ That is the funniest thing I've read on here for a while
