Article in The Age today saying that Chinese developers have purchased a 43 hectare of "green-wedge" land in Melbourne (near Dandenong) and are considering putting a theme park on it.

Would be great if something eventuated out of this, but don't hold out much hope!

Zero chance of that occurring.

Zero chance of that occurring.

And what inside knowledge do you have of that?

There is just too many factors - Zoning, local govt opinion, greenies, the fact it falls between 4 council areas means 4 major hoops to jump thru rather than one.

Did you mean to link something else or are you failing as a spam bot?

Sometimes I think these proposals from foreign companies are just their way of getting land and approvals as a foreign owner - and once its signed off - they go and do something else with it.

I sometimes think that as well, but has there been any evidence of that happening or are we just crazy?

Well - I know you definitely are, but i'm certainly not.

Shut up. no he doesn't. Aggggggggggghhhhhhh! Aggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh! Make them stop, make them stop!

Sees rumour.

Sees chinese devopers wanting to create a theme park in melbourne.

One thing to say about this:

Nope.
