Yeah, because it's the end of the membership purchasing period for this year. That's the way they usually work. Will be back next financial year, if past practices by VRTP are anything to go by.

Does anyone know what stage 2 of TI island includes? They keep saying stage 2 will open later but what is included in stage 2?

This map shows it. Where the current fenced off area is will be stage 2, and features another exhibit space, with a pool, allowing guests to get even closer to the tigers. And then to the right of that will be a new space where you can book for the Tiger experience to have your photo with one.

Do stairs have a better payout than a garden bed though?

yes. You can argue one should know garden beds are not for standing on, but stairs, especially clearly demarcated stairs with bright yellow paint on them, its clear that you are SUPPOSED to use them, and if you use them and injure yourself, they would have a liability problem.

not sure where to post this, all the upcoming Screamworld events have been removed including the one in November, the upcoming Halloween events have been canceled

Thank God! The last thing the park needs is to be hosting nightmare/horror events considering what just happened.

It's unlikely the park will be open by Friday anyway which was the date of the first Halloween night. Even if they it does reopen prior, it's a decision I don't think would have been a tough one to make for sensitivity reasons

7 News Gold Coast did a live stream on Facebook this afternoon inside the park as they made their way to Tiger Island, and you could see that the wall alongside the lair which was getting the rock work installed on my last update, is now complete and there are windows installed down the side of it to see inside the lair. The cameras in Tiger Island have also been installed to show up close footage of the tigers.

Disclaimer: I personally have no problem with the design as it stands at the moment.

Given the area is a pool/water feature, how does a fence like that suffice with our over-protective laws?

The new 7 million dollar Tiger Island refurbishment is "debacle". I really doubt you have even seen it. The area looks stunning and theming looks amazing.

It looks great. It's not actually Disney level, I could lost a dozen reasons why. 

HOWEVER, I feel no point in doing so because it does look amazing and this isn't Disney. 

But let's call it for what it is
