"Possible" new ride/s for dreamworld/whitewaterworld

And yet your first suggestion was a B&M. (Thanks @AlexB)

Also White Water World is not a single word.

There's just no winning with you

Thinking and maybe there should be a F.A.Q. or similar topic posted for new people with a list of commonly posted or suggested things that new members can check out to prevent the lynch mob grabbing their pitchforks and torches whenever someone new joins and suggests things that have already been suggested a million times. Would certainly make the place a little bit more friendlier for those who just joined.

Not a bad idea

You could even add a thread permalink to the topic where it was discussed ad nauseum, so if someone wants to discuss 'Disney Australia' - there's a thread for that. etc etc.

Alright, let's get this thread back on topic here.

Firstly, g'day @YaBoySlam & welcome to Parkz. Please don't let other members put you off from posting or contributing. As other members have "alluded", B&M haven't reached Australia for a myriad of reasons, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - B&M aren't the necessarily the pinnacle of coaster design & manufacturing like they were in the 90's, in recent years both Intamin & Mack have made unprecedented strides in creating more competitive products than B&M, and I have a lot of confidence that the DC Rivals HyperCoaster will happily be exactly that.

As for Dreamworld, i've written about what they could buy at length already.  I'd personally love to see them upgrade the Giant Drop in the short term and do something major with a company like RMC in the long term. Not sure who they are? I've thrown a clip down below. It's competitive against Rivals at Movie World and can hold its own, these things just haul ass.

As for the rest of you, we were all new here once, so show a little compassion instead of being a dick to new members, yeah? What this place should encourage is funny, intelligent and honest discussion about a hobby we all share, not elitism. So the next time someone asks something you might find silly, be a good sport and point them in the right direction. It's how we build a community of like-minded individuals.

Speaking of RMC a Raptor Track wouldn't do too badly at Dreamworld. Might not be the highest capacity ride but one of those in the Blue Lagoon/Goldrush area would draw some people away from the Ocean Parade side of the park. Could possibly be cheaper than their Wooden/Hybrid creations too.

Agreed, it's capacity would be no worse than some of their current rides (eg. Buzzsaw, Tail Spin), and seeing how quickly they seem to be selling over in the US, I wouldn't think they're too expensive either.

We're not getting a B&M coaster in Australia anytime soon. Period.

Mate, you would have said the same thing about a Mack Hyper a couple of years ago.

dw got passes for just $74 now but sorry were going to MW this year for RIVALS. maybe if you had a cool rollercoaster too we'd go there more. :P

Just quoting this for future reference - for when the next coaster is announced and all the cry-babies whinge about 'why are they putting in another coaster'

What about something similar to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland. Lets finally scrap Eureka once and for all and use the space left behind by it and the closure of TRRR. Not sure if any major company builds anything similar to the one at Disneyland but would fit into the Goldrush country theme. Ride capacity would be greater than Eureka and ride comfort-ability would be better too than those cramped mine carts of Eureka.

Pre October 2017 - "Dreamworld will be fine without spending big on a coaster."
Post Summer Holidays - "Jesus, Dreamworld need something decent to compete with Rivals."

Feel free to quote me at the end of January 2018.

Both Intamin & Vekoma make them. Vekoma's look better IMO.

Saying things like that is how you get posts reported on a theme park enthusiast site.

Well both their tracks look pretty crap and don't match a railroad theme, but the Vekoma train design looks nicer IMO.

Dreamworld dont have anything major in the pipeline. They are looking at fixing what they have and working on great experiences over big rides. Its a shame but with ardent 65 million in the hole over last year its just the way it is. Expect a bigger push into asian tour markets and the "Australian experience" to bring in money.
