The Bible says that actions like this will come back double on people who do harm.
"Let those who persecute me be shamed, but as for me, protect me from shame; Let them lose courage, but let me be undaunted. Bring on them a day of tragedy, And destroy them with double destruction!"
Jeremiah 17:18

I think there's something in that for all of us, don't you?

Here endeth the first (and hopefully the last) lesson.

There are no DAs listed for Lot 102 SP279506 at 64 Foxwell Road Coomera, but the description you provided was found on a BA - application number PCA/2019/4356 (which is the useful bit of info to provide if you're sharing, by the way)

Its important to be specific about the distinction between the two as the current gold coast PD online system requires you to choose which one you're searching for before conducting the search.

As this confusion has come up before, please find below a handy dandy reference and explanation that may help aid in understanding... (probably best to stick it on your fridge for quick reference...)

Quote

Firstly, a DA stands for Development Application/Approval. A Development Application is lodged with council either by you or by your private certifier to ensure your proposed building work meets all necessary planning requirements such as the location of your building work on your property, the land surrounding it and overlays such as flood hazards and hillslopes.

A Development Application isn’t required for every proposed project. Your certifier will check this during the assessment of your application and notify you if one is needed. If you do require a DA the report must be submitted to council and approved by them prior to submitting and approving your BA.

A BA is a Building Application/Approval also known as a Building Permit. The Building Application consists of the paperwork you submit to your private certifier with the intention of receiving a Building Approval. This usually consists of an IDAS Form 1, IDAS Form 2, a Notice of Engagement, Form 15 from an engineer, engineer stamped plans and any additional items required for your class of building work. In Queensland, all building work requires a building approval unless it is considered self-assessable or exempt.

@AlexB True. I just wrote 'DA' as shorthand for 'application' as whilst there are types of applications on there that are not clearly a DA or a BA, I assume people unfamiliar with the new system to confuse the terminology of 'development' & 'building' applications as they sound like the same thing.

Plus, apart from the application description, there is nothing else on there to read of note so I don't know why someone would look it up unless to just confirm it or contact the Council about the application? With the new system, hyperlinking the post to the application's webpage is also pointless as it always leads to an error page now.

But I apologise to you for putting 'DA' as since you are familiar with the system, it led to you heading to the wrong section. It is a 'BA'. I'll quote the application number next time I post a 'DA' or 'BA' on the Parkz Forums.

What a bunch of dickheads. I wonder what the kids will get charged with.

It's usually not the charge that's the problem. It's what they'll get found guilty of, and more importantly, what sentence they'll get.

As they're juveniles, the answer is almost certainly nothing of any real consequence.

I'm not saying they should get the death penalty, but there needs to be a sentence that makes them regret the problems they've caused, and deters others from doing likewise.

There won't be!

You seem like the religious type. Might I suggest you check out House of Kain at fright nights this year? You might  like it.

Unlikely. 1st you need other young people to read or listen/watch the news, 2nd you need them to understand what they are talking about and the consequences, 3rd they need to understand that it could be them if they did a similar act and 4th, you need the news to actually report on the sentencing, which will likely be a throw away line if anything at all.
