in the last load of pictures, it looks like they're just checking to make sure all the near misses do have enough clearance. i wouldn't be surprised if we hopefully see testing later this month or early next month.

Photo dump:

Went on the 12th, got some photos of any construction updates. First thing's first, they've added footers on either side of the entrance pathway, and 'completed' some footers for Trident.

Also, they've got white walls around various different paths (and Trident), which is assumedly for concrete pouring.

As far as Leviathan goes, workmen were on a large crane, seemingly inspecting the joints.

But, most notably, and I don't know how or why, but it seems very much to me like this is some form of clearance testing (just without the train, for whatever reason)

Also, I forgot to mention in my original post (and I completely understand that this has near to zero credibility, nor does it necessarily mean anything, but) even staff at Sea World told me not to get any hopes up for an opening this year, despite the current 'set' date and the work that's being done.

thank you for all the photos and great update. unfortunately hearing that it may not opening this year isn’t completely shocking, if they just sped up work a bit more they could easily get it done by September which is the saddest part.

This doesn’t surprise me at all, with September only 6 weeks away and there still no testing underway, I’m expecting it to be opening this Summer and at this point, I’d rather they just finish the whole thing off and do an offical opening at once rather than separate openings for Leviathan and Trident

At this point Mission Ferrari will open before Leviathan does

Rumour has it that Leviathan is going the way of Atlantis - sinking into the reclaimed land. A September opening is looking highly unlikely at this point.

Is there a source to said rumour? Or is it more speculation?

If any sections have started to sink into the reclaimed land, I would hate to think of how much more it would sink in a few years with the coaster rattling around the track. I hope that I’m the rumour turns out to be greatly exaggerated and it didn’t affect the ride.

Because why else would they check the structure and clearance before running the train around for the first time right?

The whole structure sits on one giant slab, parts of it are not sinking for christ sake.

Didn’t people stop listening to the dippin dots guy and random staff that say “dont expect it to open anytime soon” a long time ago? 🤦‍♂️

I too have heard this rumour, though the enthusiast scene is pretty small so it could all filter through the same grape vine and this doesn't confirm the source at all.

I'd hesitate at labelling that factual, but it does provide a very simple explanation as to why the ride has been plagued with delays that are for the most part unexplained by the park. This is one of the few things you'd want to explain publicly as it would undermine the public's confidence in the attraction entirely.

I'm quite sure in this age of safety and accountability, and especially in this jurisdiction, i'm confident if there is any foundational issues, they'll be rectified and certified before it opens.

I'm pretty sure that Rivals had foundational issues discovered not long after opening, no?

There is just as much first-party evidence for this as there is for the sinking slab rumour because there is none. The park is publicly tight lipped regarding most details on this project so your word is as good as mine.

Also assuming that my sources are some random staff members is cute.

If it is sinking🤣🤣🤣 Why are they continuing with the build before fixing the problem?

That ones easy. If you make it heavy enough it will sink faster and hit bedrock quicker, stopping the sinking.

Wait a second - I zoomed on the termites and you wont believe what I found...

Freemasons!

The rumours are TRUE. Freemasons are behind the delays!

Fits in with Joz' pier dark ride idea a few years ago.

Clearly the only option we have is a Flintstones themed RMC Leviathan in the New-New Atlantis. The Termite-Freemason alliance won't see it coming!

They saw all the people complaining about the lack of Atlantis theming and thought the cheapest way to give it authentic theming was to just sink the whole precinct.

Maybe they can market SW as the only park in the world with two water coasters?
