It probably won't be there last. Slides are much easier to demolish... It'd probably be the first to go. I'm betting the wavepool probably - as they'll likely just fill it in rather than demolish it - just like they did with the BB house pool.

I think that, as has been suggested, this tower will become a huge destination and crowd soaker for the park.  The fact that there are 6 body slides means that this will certainly attract people  wanting to try all 6 of the slides.- expect this to be very popular!

Polin's Australian partner Swimplex Aquatics must be absolutely chuffed with this announcement and their recent installations around the nation. This will be their first foray into a major theme park in Australia and I am betting that it will not be there last!!!

100% it will soak up the crowds, plus hose occasional single riders. This is a welcomes addition.

Swimplex has been going good. From local aquatic centres to caravan parks and now its first big theme park. Might be the start of a new relationship. Given Swimplex are also the Australian distributors for Murtha pools, who make wave pools and lazy rivers.

This is such a win for WhiteWater World - they've had great quality slides but not enough quantity which is where Wet 'n' Wild has had them beat. With this new slide tower, they're effectively padding out more of the day with things to do, all the while soaking up those summer crowds. The roll-on effect here is that with more crowd-soakers there'll be more justification for punters to hire up-sells like cabanas and ultimately spend the whole day there.

Ideally WhiteWater World's next investment could be a simple lazy river with a newer Flowrider Barrel integration - it's another up-sell opportunity (and a great justification to demolish the existing one that's in Ocean Parade and better integrate the gate between parks) and with enough pleasant, grassy, shaded space, they'd have yet another crowd soaker that really would really muddy the water as to who has the better waterpark.

^This.

The added flow on impacts Wet N Wild too - they went with 'biggest and best' when WWW came along, and WWW has never really challenged that. Now, i'm not saying 6 new body slides is going to change that (unless WnW keep removing things), but continued investment at WWW should kick VRTP in the ass that they've ignored WnW GC for far too long, and we may again see a tit-for-tat construction war like we used to see more than a decade ago.

The activity at WWW is positive news for both camps... and a plus for enthusiasts all round.

More people through the gate means more money spent. Cabanas are what you'll see the families and groups of friends use. I don't know if the park would be a whole day park yet.

Add a lazy river and then you got yourself an all-day water park I reckon. Flow riders are self-contained units. Upgrade to a bigger model that allows more people on safely (the barrel model is perfect). Won't lie that WnW kinda just has it over WWW, but then all you have to do it remember how easy it is to get from WWW to DW and you got yourself a winner. Then you can finally fix up the gate issues at the old Thunderbolt station.

Hi Guys, just wanted to ask if anyone knows what the speed of Swim Plex slides are like compared with Pro Slide?

Speed depends on many things, Weight of guest, body slide (what kind of board shorts are being worn etc), inflation of raft and litres per second coming out the outlet jet. Body slides tend to feel faster because you are more enclosed due to the smaller nature of the flume.

Proslide predominantly use rafts. Polin slides should still pack a punch or two.
