Better the ride is finished and solid than it gets to opening day and pulls a Lightning Rod6 points

I'd say Sea World probably has the best range of food outlets of any of the Gold Coast parks, even without the central food court at the moment. There is Dockside as mentioned above, and also several restaurants in the resort, plus the front food court. Still room for improvement though, especially in terms of non-alcoholic and non-sugary drinks. I'm hoping this will be addressed in the new food court.4 points

Thanks Theme Park Ninja. Having seen the new forum terms and conditions, I'll cautiously try making the occasional post. Not interested in being constantly disrespected like I was before though, so I'll only post now and then. Glad a few people here appreciate me though!2 points

AusParks is doing their weekly ParkChat stream right now, me and TPG just got an honourable mention on the stream for doing a good job for doing updates on the Doomsday ride. @Theme Park Girl AusParks is asking for you to join his show as well, I'm going on his show next week,2 points

Universal Singapore is a pretty good park. Whatever you do, ensure Madagascar, Battlestar Galactica and Transformers is done at the park. Transformers is most definitely the best ride in the park.1 point

Nah, they have a pigeonhole thing in front of the control booth for bags and loose items for Tailspin1 point

LOL. Usually with a ride I haven't done before, i'll hold on until I 'get a feel for it' - sometimes thats 2 seconds into the first drop, sometimes it's the 2nd or 3rd ride. I've ridden Superman Escape many times. I'd never thought to 'not hold on' because of the ejector in the top hat, but I once rode it with @djrappa who lifted his hands above his head pre-launch. Typical ego meant I did it too. The launch then pretty well ripped my arms out of the socket at the shoulder. From then on I learned to brace them bent and slightly forward until the launch had peaked (acceleration force ends around the exit to the building, despite the launch cable continuing for several metres) so I usually put my hands straight up and out as I exit the showbuilding. It makes the ejector something else - especially if you're at the front. TBH, for me, apart from that one stipulation, there isn't really anything on the coast where i'd 'need' to hold on (Although afterthought - JetRescue also has this initial launch force that you should guard against). I haven't been on the 'new' Cyclone, so that one I couldn't tell you. I do still find the urge to hold on irresistable on Buzzsaw. Something about those restraints makes you feel the need to hold on. Just my opinion.1 point

But they do have loose item storage for Tail Spin and Giant Drop.1 point

Doesn't come across as the style of ride suitable for on-ride photos.1 point

Some from today. And yes, i am aware the last 2 are out of focus. Also looks like they have removed the 'bent steel' bits from behind the booth. Was told by a staff member today that it will be a shop. Do we know if this ride will have on-ride photos??1 point

going to have to pull the dictionary out and add 'pull a lightning rod' to the list under 'doing an AndrewH'1 point

Big teases huh.. assuming their must be a long way to go theming wise and logistically the ride had to be in place before it could be done for site access reasons1 point

1. Just kidding. TPG and TPAGG are going to get confusing. You guys should consider a merger. TPGATPAGGAAGGT (Theme Park Girl and Theme Parks A Go Go Are A Go Going Together). Much less confusing. Thats gold Joz.1 point

Managed to pop into Lake Dolores Waterpark on my last trip. As most people are aware there isn't much left of it, just holes in the ground and buildings degrading. No pictures though, felt sketchy enough being in there let alone spending time and snapping pics. @Theme Park Girl My partner and I were lucky on our visit to Knotts and bumped into Adam at the front gates waiting for it to open. He was nice enough to do a quick ride on Sierra Sidewinder with us. Check out The Proper People on youtube as well. They've done Six Flags, but they explore a lot of abandoned places and the production level of their video's is pretty cool.1 point

I'm gonna have to strongly disagree with this. For months now, all that has been played in main street is Disney music (both orchestral and movie songs, like Hakuna Matata and Be My Guest) and I strongly dislike it, as does hubby. In our opinion the music was heaps better when it was top 40 pop music, especially when it's the area where you're walking into the park and feeling pumped and excited. I know that Dreamworld was originally made as an re-imagination of a Disney Park, but it's long since changed and gone down its own path. As @The Original Belinda Brown previously mentioned, it has become a park to celebrate Australia and also emphasises and prides itself on being a park for thrill rides (ie. The Big9). So why oh why are we playing classical old Disney music in main street? I actually posted this same feedback on Dreamworld's FB page a few months back, but the post for some reason never saw the light of day. Please bring the top 40 dance and pop music back for this area. It suits the modern Dreamworld a lot more than what's playing now. It's Dreamworld, not Disneyland. Be proud of being the unique park that you are and we all have come to know and love ??❤️❤️1 point

You haven't seen the movie have you? Anyone who watches this and steps foot in a SeaWorld after obviously doesn't have a heart.-1 points

Just got done watching Blackfish, it was a documentary about orca whales at SeaWorld in the U.S. I know our local SeaWorld doesn't have orca whales but what about all the other animals they inhumanely hold captive in bath tubs for the rest of their lives…and for what? Our entertainment. It's sickening and we need to boycott! I for one will never be purchasing an annual Village Roadshow ticket again and will persuade as many people as i can until SeaWorld closes.-1 points

Looks like they're really going to go all out this year after last year's event sold out both nights. I can see them doing up to 5 nights this year.-1 points
