Isn't this exactly what all our theme parks do on a daily basis when they co-opt others' Instagram/FB photos for their own pages? Or how the entire Internet and social media works these days? Sharing photos from other sources is completely fine provided credit is provided.6 points

Be patient. Whilst there was talk of an announcement in August, do keep in mind the rollercoaster is not due to open for a maximum of 15 months. If they revealed everything now, apart from the occasional construction update, what will us Parkz forum members have to speculate or discuss until then? All the questions would have been answered. There are also many other reasons to not announce something such as licensing agreements, industry competition or generally, just the state of progress in the project. We also speculated that any announcement won't come until well after the DC Comics Super-Villians Unleashed area would be opened so the general public won't get confused between the 2 new additions.2 points

Yikes! Glad I decided to give today a miss. I knew it would be crazy busy this week, given that 4 other states have now started school holidays as well. That's why I put out a theme park edition of school holiday survival on my blog yesterday morning, haha1 point

...how about an announcement of an announcement date?1 point

My money is still on an announcement right around when the Lego store opens.1 point

During testing, Doomsday Destroyer ran a 3 revolutions forwards and backwards cycle. Lucky for us, @Theme Park Girl took a video of this! During the 2nd revolution is when the ride amps up the rpm. So maybe more noticeable/stronger g-forces during that revolution??1 point

I wonder if it has anything to do with why the CEO of DW was at AW a few days ago. Maybe they are getting a Eurofighter as an Eureka replacement.1 point

Big fan of the Azzura Greens Resort - it's a bit closer to the parks as well.1 point

Opening of the harness is the new way of increasing operations times. I was told by an employee that the area under the ride is where they will store the bodies.1 point

Thanks Captain obvious. These three posts alone (whilst not necessarily the first, or only people to mention the water off on the final drop) all mentioned this on the last page alone. Please do try to keep up with the threads before posting information we already know, and have discussed at length.1 point

As long as credit is given, no problems at all. This forum has always worked that way. We don't try and pass off others efforts & work as our own, but we share what is open and available for all to see on social media platforms. If people are too prescious and don't like that occurring they should maybe keep their photos on their computer rather than putting them in the public domain1 point

To me the test should be: Is someone trying to pass someone else's content off as their own, implicitly or explicitly? Is the content for any purpose other than the sharing of news/knowledge/information? Is someone trying to gain hits/likes/money/traffic by sharing the content? If the answer is no to all of these then I see no issue either legally or morally. We've had content borrowed/shared/stolen from Parkz by other sites, forums, FB pages and even theme parks and major news outlets for 14+ years now... this is just my view obviously, but at this point I couldn't care less so long as there's appropriate credit given.1 point

I think it's ok so long as credit is given, although in terms of your theme park example - i know for a fact that VRTP will ask permission before doing so, i believe on every occasion - sometimes to the frustration of people who say 'its always ok to use my photos' - they still ask.1 point

I saw you, I was at Captain Cold and I finished the puzzle and you was standing at the truck, you thanked me for spraying you, my pleasure by the way ?1 point

Very bisy day today... At 10:15 AA has a 60 min wait, WWF is using outdoor switchbacks and DD is estimated 30 min wait... Got here at 10 and overflow carpark is almost full... Great day to troll at villians though and even the staff are having fun ?1 point

Just thought I would upload a few photos from the IGA Perth Royal Show 2016. These were taken on an iPhone at night but I think they look pretty good. I will try and get better photos tomorrow during my lunch break (if the crowds are not to busy so I can have one) If not I will be working there all week so I can try later. XXXL all shining in her glory. Cliff Hanger giving riders a fun time. Speed 2 and the Zipper ready to make for some fun times/spewing. From the side of sideshow alley. The refurbished Gee Whiz. The Super Bowl.1 point

I think $15 for unlimited use is pretty good value. I can't remember Universal's pricing but I think it was about a $10-15 price difference for the interactive wands. I think prices started at around $50USD for the interactive wands. Granted, you got a pretty cool piece of merchandise for that cost, though. But the actual interactive stuff wasn't as cool as the stuff at MW, IMO. Either way, great job MW. Definitely an awesome addition and hopefully will even out the crowds throughout the park.1 point

Since so much time at theme parks is spent queuing, it would be wonderful if each ride had a few of these interactive characters / scenarios in its queue line (with the characters being relevant to the ride they're at). If done well, queuing could be cool!1 point

I wish they would bring back the castle themed entry rather that just sticking that sign up.1 point

Question, but in the past didn't you say you would have preferred increased annual pass prices? So if you buy a wristband with the money on what you would have spent on a more expensive pass, you'll still be on top.1 point

I think it would be hilarious if the announcement went something like this.. Movieworld: "We are proud to announce our newest addition to the park, a Worlds Best Family Coaster!" Parkz Members:1 point

yes my bet as far as all the effects still not working well is that the park decided to open with what they had so as to ensure adequate capacity during school holidays. I'm fairly certain we'll see it go down again for a little while once the holidays are over to complete the refurb with all effects up to scratch, and potentially some additional ones they haven't put in yet due to time crunch.1 point

They know a lot more than you'd think and a lot more than they'd reveal. Wouldn't you enjoy making up some story and seeing how far someone would spread it?1 point

Perhaps just use the spoiler tag to describe the experience? Im not sure what is happening but these forums were once a place to come and share enthusiast scoops or talk about new park developments and experiences. But seems of late they have become more like "hey there is stuff at the park, not going to tell you about it or show you, so go check it out for yourself". I'm not a fan.1 point

Checked with my boss, expecting a media conference late October, early November about DW and WWW 2017 plans. Should see Construction fences popping up soon I have personally have no idea what it could be and our marketing team does not even know. With WWW however I can confirm there will be a new slide tower in the green area besides the Little Rippers (but is all I can say on the matter at this stage.) And yes the boarded up view on the Railway is to block a carpark nothing more.0 points

I think they might have encountered a problem with the big drop at the end, the water isnt actually coming down the tracks. It was bone dry when i was there yesterday.-2 points

Come on surely you could tell us more about the slide tower if there just going to announce it next month. Never understood this confidential information crap.-2 points
