I still prefer being able to go on dreamworld's website and see all attractions, with their planned dates, rather than have to click on every possible date I might visit to see if anything is closed at movieworld.

It's becoming so bad for that. Everyone seems to be jumping on that train. I was looking at the IMAX in Melbourne where you used to be able to see essentially an entire films run from the 1 dropdown on the page. Now they also have the Movieworld slider.

Dreamworld express is also conveniently down, could be to facilitate access into the show building.

IMG_9976.jpegSeems like some major work is being done. Good they pushed the date to something more realistic rather than pushing it out a week the day before it’s supposed to reopen. I saw work being done to the temple about 2 weeks ago…

This worker was chipping away at the temple removing panels 🤔 I wonder why

WOW. That's a pretty big hole in the school holiday line up.

It's winter. It's not ideal, but its also the quietest holiday season. I think 'big hole' is a bit of a stretch considering the status quo two years ago though.

Maybe what DW's social media team is promising will fill the void. (so happy WWW is opening back up //s)

Not saying it's Temu theming, but how long it's lasted, is definitely giving me Temu theming vibes @themagician

Yes, but based off what we’ve seen it appears there is something seriously wrong with these theming panels that needs to be rectified before the ride can reopen.

The rumor I’ve heard is that some of them have started falling off. Hopefully they can get it sorted out soon.

Yeah, that's not very typical, i'd like to make that point. There's a lot of these around the world and very seldom does anything like this happen.

I read that in John Clarke's voice.

"What happened?"
"The temple fell off."

The online pictures I saw speculated the same thing. I think that's likely, if there's nothing wrong with the ride, it's costing them a lot to keep it closed for theming issues. Plus the restaurant is likely closed too if that's the case given the main pathway proximity to the building.

Good video by @Ogre that shows the true scope of what's being done, couldn't believe my eyes when I first saw the photos of it.

Apparently the nets are only a temporary measure while they inspect a few potentially dodgy panels. It really doesn’t look that bad in person, especially from a distance. You can hardly even see them from MM.

Didn’t realise they had also netted the internal theming in the queue. It’s a real shame as it takes away from the theming so badly. The outside isn’t too bad because unless up close it’s not noticeable but yeah, inside not good IMG_7863.jpeg

When I last went on JR a few days after it reopened, the entire main queue starting from the split point past the snake was blocked off and everyone was funnelled through the express line. Netting all the indoor theming there must of been why it was blocked off in the first place.
