Serpent slayer has again been pushed back for another month to the 5th of July. Vintage cars has kept is reopening date of 21st of June for a while now, so hopefully this means they are actually getting some work done. I plan to go tomorrow and check so i might post them on here soon. Motorcoaster is also still planned to reopen on the 21st as well as the Playschool Wheel.

  • I feel like WWW doesn’t get the airtime is deserves. It’s a pretty damn solid little park.

In what is no doubt a great addition, it looks like White Water World will be introducing ride photo kiosks during the seasonal break.

  • Word is they want it open, but they’re ‘waiting on insurance’. If that is the case, and it continues to take longer than expected, I reckon they should make that clear & have it closed with no kno

It was fun having her while she was open, and I’ll be very sad to see her go🥹

Not surprised at all, even if they did have the intention of repairing and reopening it. Sad to see these cars go as well, but not sad this layout and location aren’t being used anymore. Ever since MDMC opened, I’ve never liked what they did with the vintage cars. While I’m happy that they didn’t just retire them all together, I wished they’d done something better. But now I’m looking forward to seeing how Murrissippi Motors turns out.

Serpent Slayer was back operational tonight. Steel Taipan was running two trains, both now have the spinning rear seat. Was pretty popular tonight but I cant understand the decision, most times I'm there it seems to run empty. Surely they decrease the price now they have two right?

Not sure this needs a new thread - curious as to the community's thoughts on this one.

Spotted this on an industry facebook page - it seems one of the TVs in the Sky Voyager complex has (most likely) died, and they've fixed this by slapping a sticker of the ride logo over the top. Looks like its in the old exit shop.

Added without commentary - what's everyone's thoughts on this?

My thoughts are that I hope it’s temporary.

Well its not great but its better then leaving it fully black like Movie Wolrd have done in the doomsday area everything is broken or turned off its a disgrace in there. Bottom line is the theme parks all need to put in more effort.

The maintenance for the Play School Wheel has been extended by a month

The Giant Drop has closed unexpectedly for a couple of days

The maintenance for The Claw and Kenny’s Forest Flyer was supposed to start today but has been pushed back a few weeks

And rather than having a reopening date the vintage cars just say ‘temporarily closed’

Maybe they decided to keep KFF and Claw open due to that?

It wouldn’t surprise me. Keep them open for a little longer while Giant Drop and Play School Wheel are closed. A very sensible management decision.

I do not have pictures, but for a few days they had the white water world attractions on the park maintenance list as (not positive) temporarily closed. It has since been removed. Just thought that this was the right thread to report this change to. Giant Drop has also since re opened after the short maintenance.

With WWW reopened, there’s a couple attractions with a delayed opening. Temple of Huey & Little Rippers are scheduled to reopen in a couple weeks.

Triple Vortex is closed again and is apparently meant to reopen in October, but it was closed all of last season and possibly even the 2022 season. Makes me wonder if this attraction has got the same fate of The Wedgie (retiring).

And another note, the speed slides of Fully 6 both still remain closed (presumably because the court case is still underway and they won’t reopen until that’s resolved).

But essentially the WWW attraction lineup has pretty much returned to what it was 17 years ago. This park is in desperate need of a serious expansion.

What have they been doing whilst the park was closed?

Surely if you're running the park seasonally, you'd have time to do every bit of annual maintenance in the downtime?

What's the excuse here?

Yes they have really half arsed the opening, when the park went seasonal they said they could do all maintenance over the winter break, it’s very disappointing. These slides remain shut for half of the September school holidays

They were having Gel Ball fights.

It can't simply be a maintenance excuse

Maybe not, but the splashdown pools are still empty.

they struggled to recruit enough lifeguards to operate everything

But you could be right about this because to operate all the slides they need at least four lifeguards (if it’s quiet enough) to operate them and so maybe they’re holding off until school holidays begin.

I am surprised (or maybe disappointed) to see that the Wedgie wasn’t removed during the closure considering the park has confirmed it won’t be returning.

And considering the fence around Triple Vortex looks temporary, hopefully that means it is and it will actually open this season.

The only thing I can think of is they struggled to recruit enough lifeguards to operate everything. It can't simply be a maintenance excuse after having ~6 months to get it done.

Wedgie and Fully 6 are understandable, but everything else should be up and running.

One of the big struggles/cons of operating seasonally, is having to rebuild your staff from the ground up each season.

This has always been a problem for both WnW and WWW. Most Life Guards were hired seasonally even when they operated year round
