I don’t believe so. Can you just repaint transparent fibreglass or is it a more complex process compared to all of the other slides in the park?

I sure there is a way you could paint it.  The problem with fiberglass is it shatters.  The reason why clear fiberglass roof panels always end up looking shit.  If the slides are made of fiberglass, it was always always on the cards this could happen.  Structurally the slides could be fine, but visually, you wouldn't send your mother-in-law down one.

You could paint them, but you'd turn it into a black hole style slide and end up blocking most of the light inside the slide. 

 

It looks like a survey marker on one of the support poles, which I can't imagine you'd need for demolition. This thread is 9 months old and hasn't had updates in a while (personally i'd thought they had already removed the slides but I don't visit the park often) - i'd say the reason they've started removal now is probably because their next attraction will go in this space and this is the timeline needed to open the new one. 

I'll be very keen to see what they replace it with. Hopefully better than the jetstream replacements.

Two of the poles. There is another on the pole in front of the van in the 2nd photo. I suspect there would be even more on site.

I presume these 2 names that were recently trademarked by village are related to whatever replaces aqualoop

more trademarks have been filed for wet n wild, including ‘Zoom Zone’ and ‘Teal Twirler.’ my guess is Zoom Zone will be a new area replacing Aqualoop, similar to action zone. by the sound of the names, i have a feeling one of the new slides will be a launched waterslide, something like  Cheetah Chase or Ray Rush. let’s hope they’re better slides then the last tower they got.

it would be, but the names tend to make me think that’s what’s happening, i mean Aqua Blast in the Zoom Zone screams that. i’d say they’re all for different attractions though as they don’t really sound like “back up” names if the others don’t get approved.

Have said this many times but Wet n wild really needs something like Tantrum at raging waters or even something like perfect storm at jambaroo (yes I know they have a tornado slide already but jamberoo have 2 and make it work). Doubt they’d have the room for either of those there especially when there might be 3 slides going in that spot (which I find pretty hard to believe given that aqualoop’s plot of land isn’t that big to begin with unless you expand out back towards where the top of aqua racer is)

Aqua Blast could literally be something as lame as stationary waterguns for a passing slide. Keep your expectations low my people. This is an Aussie theme park we're talking about here.

I thought the slide tower they built with Kaboom and Super Ripper was pretty good. Wide variety of slide types, had something for the kiddies too.

i mean they’re okay but they’re all very short. Double Barrel is useless, Super Ripper is good for kids and Kaboom is pretty good but i find the valleys of the drops to be pretty rough and borderline painful.

Considering the old Aqualoop tower, and multiple supports are still standing, I'd say the chances of new slides using the same tower/infrastructure are pretty high. Assuming they'd be White Water West slides if that's the case too.

The slide tower concept needs to change imo, we need something like the old terror canyon weaving through the landscape. I know it’s limited as to what you can do, but even the new kaboom tower is average. Don’t they still have that decent plot of land near the Kamikaze? That’s prime realestate for a good themed slide
