Do we think Trident will be operational for this event?... it's advertised as being operational.

Just noticed that Jet Rescue will be closed on the 25th of October during the event. I hope that SW won't be stupid and that the ride will be open that evening. But who knows.

And then as soon as the event is over... we go back into maintenance season.

This is more maintenance-related, but Leviathan has been closed for a total of 69 scheduled days. Adding probably an extra 7 days of unplanned maintenance or the ride opening hours late, the ride has most likely spent a total of 76 days (2 Months 16 Days) not operating as planned. This is considerably more than originally planned, as Leviathan was scheduled to be closed for a total of 49 days for maintenance spread out over this year.

Wait - let me get this straight...

You think that unplanned downtime and late opening (which is also unplanned) as well as delays in completing maintenance (which is also unplanned) is more than was planned?

Also just in - Red apples are not Green.

You're absolutely right - this is more general maintenance related and has absolutely nothing to do with the topic you've posted it in.

I was pointing out the maintenance schedule and the impact on SW Spooky Nights, noting that Jet Rescue is closed for one of the event days and we go back into the maintenance season. When the maintenance schedule was released at the end of 2023, it indicated 47 scheduled days of closure for the year. However, factoring in the upcoming closure, we're now looking at a total of 69 scheduled days. I've also accounted for an additional 7 days when the ride was unexpectedly closed. It seems straightforward, but sometimes even the basics are overlooked—much like recognising the color of apples.

Ok, let me use colours (we're not American).

You noted Jet Rescue was potentially closed for one of the spooky nights dates. That is tangential but relevant to the topic.

How did that transition into the number of days Leviathan is closed for, when leviathan doesn't impact spooky nights event dates, and what relevance does Leviathan have to the spooky night topic?

Tickets on sale now! Kids are very excited, we’ve watched jags video for last year so many times

The top spin has longer maintenance the the wooden coaster? Something doesn't make sense.

Can you elaborate further? I have found the opposite in previous years.

@Park Addict 93 DW is supposed to be a premium theme park, a place people travel to from across Australia, yet Happy Halloween has no premium elements to it, and what Happy Halloween offers; I would expect to see at Aussie World.  DW ought to can Dreamworld Country Fair and put that money into Happy Halloween.  That way, you would turn 2 back-to-back mediocre events into one premium event.

Sorry, I don’t agree with that.

Firstly, not sure where DW is supposed to be a “premium” park, as far as I’m aware DW is supposed to be a family friendly with a healthy mixture of fun/thrills to suit everyone… And you certainly don’t get much more of a family-focused event than HH or SN.

What exactly is a “premium” element that SW had that DW didn’t?

Did you not see the VIP pumpkin pass as a “premium” add-on?

Granted, DW turned on an event where 98% is the exact same as last year, but it still drew a crowd and was a great night out with plenty to see and do.

As much as I also enjoyed Spooky Nights, I feel it was much more commercially focused where SW were trying to squeeze every last dollar out of you. Don’t blame them, that’s what those nights are for, but I did end up spending more at SW than DW for pretty much the same experience.

Dusting off what you already have and not spending money on a new Maze is cost cutting.  Everything else besides a BJ costume, MW already have in the shed.

I see nothing besides the BJ costume, MW is spending money on.  If MW have diverted money from the mazes into other areas, they aren't telling us about it.  The new Horror Encounters look like reused props.   MW hasn't mentioned any upgrades to the current mazes, just they are returning.

The lack of effort is embarrassing. I know a lot still goes into creating this event, but not really offering anything new (especially no new mazes) is what I have an issue with.
