It's probably staff costs and keeping the wage bill low. I feel like we've pretty much been saying this for a while. they might be missing some business, but how much would have contributed towards extra revenue if many of those folk are passholders anyway? Pool and plant operating costs go up, staff costs go up. you need more cleaners, more gate staff, more F&B and Retail staff, plus the lifeguards and other team members that go with operating the park 7 days a week. On days where attendance isn't assured, that's expensive. I think they've taken the view that they can afford to not compete with WNW in the offseason, and while the school dates are a bit of a misstep, overall, there is no guarantee they'd make money this week opening the park up, once all costs are accounted for. 2 hours ago, Brad2912 said: I think they've erred a little here by just taking the generic "public school finishing date" as their yardstick for opening 7 day operations. DaptoFunlandGuy
that is interesting. The sales portal does highlight that WWW is seasonal, and links to the calendar, but the headline ad shouldn't say that unless the park is open all year round. New display name
I can answer that? Because you're not open. 🤦♂️ Side note, forcing people to exit DW to enter WWW is dumb. Edited 58 minutes ago by New display name
