staff members aren’t kept in the loop about stuff like this, the fact the park even acknowledged the closure and confirmed parts are being made and installed says everything we need to know.

They did say something similar about Doomsday though and the Monorail they said while not the same there looking at options of what to do with the ride so I wouldn't say anything is confirmed tbh.

they didn’t say they were looking at options for Superman, they said they’re working with the manufacture in europe to deliver the parts they need. they wouldn’t have said that if they hadn’t ordered parts.

RCDB may just be speculating on a long term or permanent closure due the recent extended downtime of xcelerator and removal of TTD/Kingda Ka.

I'm not worried yet, not that it counts for anything 😄

I don’t see this as anything to worry about because a lot of coasters that are closed for extended periods of time get listed as SBNO. Scooby has also been listed as SBNO the whole times it’s been closed.

While they don't necessarily issue a staff newsletter with all the thoosie gossip talking points, staff are friendly with staff, and some staff know things, and share things. I remember way back at Wonderland - backstage near wardrobe there was only one designated smoking spot - so all the maintenance guys, ride ops, entertainment cast, custodial, F&B and retail who smoked would sit there and chat. (And back then, a lot more smoked than do now - but it still happens)

There's a lot of NDA stuff in the background, but you'd be kidding yourself if you thought zero frontline staff knew what was going on.

Which is because this is precisely the circumstance where SBNO applies - it's the correct listing for a ride that isn't open to guests. Technically every ride down for annual maintenance is SBNO, but since they only go down for a few weeks, Duane and his team aren't going to update every ride across the world - but when it is down for an extended or indeterminate amount of time, it's worth updating.

I noticed that a bunch of tape is now hanging below the launch on Superman, as well as in a few other locations on the track around the ride. 
 

Flash is still dismantled, though the loading platform has now been roped off too. 

The tape could denote cylinders that need repair/replacement. They used to have a bad habit of cracking the clevis at the bottom of the cylinder mount, that and internally, the spring inside sometimes randomly breaks and it rattles around inside. No real worry about brake operation when open, but during a shutdown you have the perfect chance to inspect them thoroughly. 

Batwing is now also closed for unscheduled maintenance

😂😂😂 surprised? Movieworld needs to shut down for 6 months and spend some quality time fixing the place maintaining all their rides etc. 

WWW does that @Ashand they still can't get rides ready for the opening.  

MW you ride downtime is embarrassing.  Do better, According to CEH, DW achieved a 98% attraction uptime for last year.

i’m assuming it could be due to the heat today, but Rivals and WWF have been breaking down quite a bit, surprisingly GL is the most reliable ride in the park today.

Yep 100% true, but the difference imo is Movieworld aim/claim to be the best park on the coast, pretty hard when as we all know most rides are closed at any given one time. Unfortunately with the company who now own Village parks, we the public will continue to suffer for their short comings.

probably need to wait and see how they operate it. When they got new ride vehicles and operating systems for WWF it totally destroyed loading and capacity - i'm hoping they haven't done the same to scooby

the reason WWF’s operations went bad after the returb was because they removed the constantly moving loading station and replaced it with a stationary station. scooby’s was always a duel load station, so i don’t think it will face the same issues.

I thought SD has a new control and braking system and MW have also added more plus new vehicles.  @Leviwon't face the same issues but I can see SD having teething issues.
