Funnily enough, just after Bermuda launched at Futuroscope, I played around with AI to envision a rocking boat attraction in the MC plot. Theming-wise, the Tasmans have established an expedition ba

MC Refurbishment Name LOST MINE MAYHEM

Posted Images

I’m not sure if Themeparks-au is onto something, but I wouldn’t read too much into the name being the final name. It’s pretty common for a project to have a working title that’s different from the actual ride name.

“Mars” could easily be referencing the vehicle, while “Discovery” might just be pointing to the overall theme.

Lost Mine Mayhem still lines up with my theory that Greg was dropping a hint that the new trains will be spinning. The ‘Mars Discovery’ clue which I thought was pointing towards a spinning coaster is what makes me think this could be the direction they’re heading. Time will tell.

LOL, I’m not chasing the fame. I asked for Parkz to be credited. The Parkz community has always been pretty good at acknowledging sources when information comes from social media (like people on Parkz give your page credit if you are the source) . If Parkz is where the information originated, then it’s only fair that people using it as a source give credit back the same way. Keeps things fair for everyone.

You’re actually one of the few who normally do give credit, so it is a bit unfair for me to lump you with the others.

It’s only fair, @Ogre , @themagician , and all the other social media scavenger birds who quietly circle these forums (some of whom never even drop a post) that if you’re going to swoop in and collect information from Parkz, at least give the source a little shout out.

Sorry! Skipped my mind, as I thought it was more of a "public knowledge" type of post rather than a "we found this" post. I have often credited Parkz in the past, too:

Update: Also, if you don't see my post anymore, or me talking about it in my content, there is a reason...🤐

My man Ogre got silenced😭✌️

The name isn't the important part. We've seen ride names change before. What the public website has really given us is the theme of the ride, and judging by Dw's habit of tapping into its own history, I'd be surprised if Gold Rush doesn't leave its mark on the final attraction in some way.

LOL.

Nek Minnit -

Lost mine mayhem is just a theatre showing clips of former CEO Craig Davidson waxing lyrical about rebirthing the Eureka Mountain.

I won’t be surprised if we get an official announcement fairly soon. I did notice that there was a lot more activity around the Motocoaster site when I visited the park a couple of days ago. New markings have also appeared around the area.

Was in park this arvo, this whole section has now been fenced with temp fencing as well. Whatever works this is for, look like they will be starting pretty soon.

Maybe the Substation that was installed when the coaster was built, and how they had to thread it around the already existing TOT utilities. (Credit to Parkz)

"A new substation has been put in place to power the coaster. Its power capacity is 0.5 megawatts, or just under a quarter of the power requirements of Tower of Terror's launch."

Looks like those might be the electrical boxes from below motocoasters launch, when all the hydraulic cabling was removed. Not sure, I thought they could also be the panels to raise and lower the back clamp of the ride however I thought they were vertical and stainless steel.

This could be pointing towards a electric drive conversion of the launch, which should reduce operating costs

Another substation or a replacement for the old one (Credit to gcthemeparkgirl)

No photo description available.

Previous one was only 500kVA, this one is 1500kVA, so they've tripled the capacity of the transformer - this does point to a much higher power demand in the area, which would tend to confirm the launch upgrades.

I do hope they theme this box so it blends into the area like they did the last one.
