Funnily enough, just after Bermuda launched at Futuroscope, I played around with AI to envision a rocking boat attraction in the MC plot. Theming-wise, the Tasmans have established an expedition ba

@Theme Park Girl I'm not interpreting it, I'm just telling you I can see why @Gobbledok thought you where using AI because even chat thinks your post sounds AI. You just have to look at the response to DW's reveal, AI is a dirty word, so if you post come off as created in AI, people will comment on it.

Is that right?

And yet out of the 17.3k public views my original post above has had so far on FB, where comments have been ripe over a theme park's use of AI, there has not been a SINGLE comment made yet which has accuses me of the same practice!

Only the 1 comment on here... good ol' Parkz. And I think I've only ever had 1 similar accusation in the past. So that's 2 in total?

Go figure 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for the reality check, I actually needed that! Dunno why I was worried on the first place over the one petty remark on here. I'm glad everyone else still recognises my content as a worthwhile human effort 💖

Apologies to forum members here for unintentionally railroading the topic being discussed.

I didn't see the TPG FB post, but I read it here and knew it was TPG's post without even noting the attribution Brad gave.

All good TPG. This topic is about the closure of Motocoaster anyway.

@Theme Park Girl I've never read your blog, so I wouldn't know how many people have called you out over using AI. All I was saying is that Chat thinks you could be using AI, so it's not exactly far fetched to think other people might come to the same conclusion. There are probably plenty of people who either don't care if you use AI or are simply too polite to say anything.

For the record, I'm not claiming you use AI and I wouldn't care if you did. I use it all the time for work. What I wouldn't do is present something generated by AI to a client as my own work, like DW did yesterday.

I also asked Chat, "is she having a go at me?"

Yes, I’d read that as a dig at you, although she is wrapping it in a fairly polite, indirect response.

So, yes, she's having a go at you, but indirectly rather than outright attacking you. She's also trying to position herself as the reasonable one and your comment as the isolated, petty accusation.

So much for "Take care all. Be nice, be kind"

🤣Chat you're so funny🤣

Did Dreamworld pretend that the artwork wasn't AI? Or did they just release some AI generated concept art of their new attraction, and present it as "concept image for illustrative purposes only' ?

May be art of text that says 'MAYHEME URPOSE ONLY'

later clarifying that it's three trains (!).

As I can't edit the post, just to clarify he actually said two trains, not three. The base audio was really that bad, but they finally sent me the source audio so I could hear the whole thing haha. It's online now for those interested on various channels.

@Theme Park Girl 2 days away from 9 years since your last post here. Great to see you back, bad to see it's to defend yourself.

When Rivals was built Village plucked a random guy who posted his Nl2 pre creation based on the footings onto Parkz to do the animation for them for the ride's marketing.

That would be @docoaster.

Anyone know anyone? Had this made for a while, some ATVs and 'new experiences that can't be spoken about just yet' would look pretty good...

Hopefully the redevelopment doesn't close the train for an extended period. There will be a lot of construction access required to the MC track area. I know they can just do a U-cycle around the park like they did during JR construction, but it would be great if they can just drive over the rail tracks instead of ripping them up to keep the full loop during most of the construction.

Speaking of the train, maybe a little upgrade/‘beautification’ of the 3rd station near Jane’s is finally in order, to get a proper ‘Rivertown’ stop operational… Not that it would really be needed for guest flow, but it’d be nice to have. Anyway, as someone that admittedly knows very little about construction logistics: With the largest items seeming to be the new trains, would they not be able to drive most things straight through from near King Claw (which might be what you mean by ‘U-cycle’, I’m unsure), and just do on-site work during the day? Then, assuming the trains’ll be one of the last things to come, if a crane’s needed to put ‘em on the track, set it up in that lawn adjacent to the train line & lift ‘em over outside of park hours?

Biggest issue would be the staging area required to put the ride pieces whilst its being rehabilitated. I don't think we will have prolonged closures but most likely daily ones similar to what was happening during the JR netting.

I wouldn't assume the largest items will be the trains. If they're bringing in major theming and set pieces to create a story around the track, there is going to be major construction going on. They don't need to dismantle the track to repaint it, so my guess is that the track is coming down so that the theming construction can happen. It will be a lot of cranes, cherry pickers, etc. as well as the actual theming itself.

I'll leave the discussion about the future ride to that thread, but I'd be interested to know if the old trains have been sold, salvaged for parts or just entirely scrapped.

Greg has said it will be fully taken apart ("we're gonna take the entire track down, remediate it completely repaint it, put it back up again")

I know. But that is not necessary for the track maintenance or painting. The only reason to do that would be because they need access to build things in the space.

Log Ride footprint has plenty of room right next door.

The air in Rivertown is thick with the scent of damp earth and crushed ferns, and the drab old Motocoaster pavilion has been completely swallowed up by a sprawling, half-unearthed temple complex. Explorers step through the queue—now a winding trench flanked by wooden scaffolding, flickering kerosene lanterns, and half-brushed artifacts still clinging to the mud, beneath the light of a canvas canopy raised above.

Reaching the loading platform, the (*cough*) so-called motorcycle trains are long gone, with the newly designed vehicles: featuring, inwards facing battered, circular excavation mine carts.. The station overhead is a massive, crumbling stone chamber lined with ancient, ominous carvings. Over the intercom, a panicked archaeologist yells that a trap has been triggered. The cavern suddenly erupts with blinding green lights, fog and a blast of pressurized air shoots your carriage blind, obliviously & into the jungle ahead!

The moment your car clears the station, the gyroscopes release. Carts spin erratically and wildly as you launch outward, blurring the lush Rivertown canopy into a dizzying smear of green and brown., careening helplessly over the pathways, spiraling through the tight twists and low-to-the-ground turns, never facing the same direction for more than a few seconds.

Just as you catch your breath, the track stalls the rider's as gravity finally wins, stalling out at what was (once!) thought to be the original ride's end.. But (hang on?? WTF?!!!) This, here is a cave, a dead end??? For one weightless second, riders pause, facing Rivertown before backfiring up the circuit, twisting and free-spinning in chaotic reverse, tearing backward journey through the entire jungle circuit before slamming safely back into the archaeological dig site.

Going to look a lot different in a year's time.
Again I reckon the raised area leading into Giant Drop ("spaghetti junction") be completely removed, including the Rocky Hollow train line overpass. Just wrap the GD queue around the building's exterior and then there will be lots of room for the MC replacement theming and whatever they put into Rocky Hollow.

From that angle I don't think MC2 is going to look that different.
