Did it say what other animals will be coming to the area? i think if they are going to upgrade the area they need to upgrade the crocodiles, kangaroo, dingo and emu enclosures.

Dreamworld has posted on Facebook that the croc feeding experience ends April 1st. Does that mean they are upgrading it????

Well people did say that more animals were to come and i think some areas were being upgraded. Maybe this is the beginning of it. They might actually remove the chairlift station.

They stop feeding animals like tbat every year around that time due to the fact that reptiles go into tourpa which is like sub-hibernation. Still concious and all but eat and move less. Plus crocs can go about a year without eating. Featherdale in Sydney also do this.

They have finished upgrading for the Coroboree section.

There are many recordings of the Irwins moving Crocs at Australia Zoo... I don't imagine it would be much different TBH.

Tranquilising reptiles is extremely risky.

The difference with AZ is that they have holding pools/pens and DW would not. And while tranq'ing is risky, so would holding them as they do for so long. When Featherdale recieved their large one from tropical north QLD, he was held for approx 15 hours, most of which was tranportation. Realistically they shouldnt be bound for much longer than 20-24 hours. Im not sure what maitnence they would have to do, but they would have to work fast.

Or alternatively remove it for several weeks and house it in another tank - the same way Canberra Zoo did with their big cats - which is what gave Dreamworld 'the lair'
