I definitely think they need less DC & more churro themed rides..

I'd be fine if Movie World added that. I'll assume the storyline is that we're saving this churro from that big purple guy who totally isn't related to a DC property or anything.. wait... maybe the western town is transforming into a new carnival area where there will be twenty churro themed B&M's.

3rd times the churrmo

So, going by the "make of it what you will" post by savvy14, and the associated demolition photos, a new themed area is definitely happening. This means that the Western Area (as now solely defined as the area with the coloured ground) will in future be able to support just one attraction, WWF. UNLESS, the new rollercoaster goes in behind that show stage, with the entry being where the designated smoking zone is next to WWF. As it is the grave stones are being relocated to that pathway, so maybe 2 Western rides?

I can't see "Main Street" stretching from the fountain all the way to the new ride at the Demo site/show stage, as another DC ride would really be out of place over there.

Does the footprint of the current demolition suit this "non-coaster" ride? Going on how DW can squeeze in rides such as Claw, Shockwave, Tailspin and Pandamonium, I say yes, meaning the ride may not need the show stage building. Maybe it can be part of the Coaster (station) as suggested already by Parkz members.

Yes, air conditioning people were apparently working on the old show stage building, but does that mean an attraction will be in there? Were they removing the aircon as part of demolishing the area?

If the same system air conditions the show stage as well as some of the smaller western buildings around it, then it's likely that they'd need specialists to shut off and disconnect some parts of the air conditioning before they can be demolished. I haven't seen any indication that the Show Stage is going anywhere.

Nah show stage is its own standalone entity however all HVAC Plant needs regular maintenance anyway.

Ugh   Warner Bros DC world?

IMO it wouldn't suit that end of the park.

I think they should go the route of Mad Max thunder road in that area.

1.  Australia had a lot to do with the making of MMTR

2.  Some of the stunt team from WBMO were in the movie and have won awards

3. The desert theme wouldn't be too hard to blend to the western theme

4. The movie was a big hit (haven't seen it - Probably should)

What's Thunder Road?

Yep.  Fury Road.  My Bad  (told you I haven't seen it....HAHA)

Or thunder road could be a sequel to Fury Road.    Even more reason to use it as a theme.   :)

Thunder Road, eh?

Mad Max would be a pretty good choice for a coaster IMHO, however, there's just not enough information out there for me to be campaigning that Max is the theme for one of the next additions. For all we know, the whole Western section could be turned into Tommy Wiseau's The Room: The Ride...

hmm. High capacity ride that isn't a coaster. Looks like show stage is to stay. Where have I heard a suggestion like that before?

I doubt they will go s&s again, already have a few, plus green lantern issues, plus lack of flats that aren't batwing, so I don't see them putting in a swing.

Mack only do coasters and dark rides.

vekoma really only have more coasters to offer, so I reckon that rules them out.

leaves the only two reasonable options; Zamperla and Intamin.

Zamperla have a crap load of family orientated rides, but a lot of them have terrible capacity and look like some pretty crazy foot prints. I could see something suspended like a windshear or a swing like a discovery, but it would just look like taking ideas straight from dreamworld. You've got disc-o's and a spin but it's a bit like the touring carnival. A themed sky chaser would be pretty cool, everyone loves spreading out and feeling like they are flying. Plus they have a double armed looping swing. Tall enough, people seem to really love them, especially with them being able to operate in alternate directions.

Intamin have a crap load of towers, but I don't think they'll go there again because of batwing. No matter the difference, people will think it's the same kind of ride which loses some of the wow factor. A gyro is too much like dreamworld again, but they have a couple of other interesting options. A spinning star looks like kind of fun and the ride capacity is huge. It drops, but it also rotates on each arm which can run them in all different directions. Seeing a massively tall one of these climb and drop while spinning would be sweet. I'll ride it. They also have another looping type of swing a bit different from zamperla called the twin hammer. It's not exactly a new idea on design, but they do have suspended gondolas which is pretty neat. Having the platform drop away once you are strapped in so your legs are dangling. That's a bit of a twist on what is an old type of ride.

Not sure about space utilisation. I like the look of the Intamin offerings better than the zamperla ones, looks a bit more visually striking. It's difficult to split the two I reckon are good choices, but I think I'd really love to see a really tall spinning star though. Would have been awesome to have it positioned around superman and arkham so it rotates out over the coasters. Would have also given a pretty good 360 view of the park, but, alas, feels like an opportunity missed, so I'll probably go with the big, noisy looping swing.

Hold up Mr Fancy Font..... Is 36 people really a high-cap ride?

Also for some reason I keep thinking it's going to be some kind of spinning cups ride. No idea where I got that idea from but I just keep coming back to it.

Interesting to see how they theme the land back there if it's not going to be western anymore.

I have no idea what the hell is going on with fonts and stuff. I'm typing on a phone, can't see how to change what seems to be set as default?

Not per ride, per hour. Both are up around the 800 per hour mark. As others have said, not exactly thrilling, but it can process people pretty quickly.

100% true, but even at 50% efficiency, that 400 people is a marked improvement on just about anything in the park. :D

heres a couple of links. Space attack, Intamin twin hammer @ berjaya park in Kuala Lumpur.

Same park, Spinning Orbit, Intamin Spinning star.

Can see what I mean about placement of the spinning star.  Could be utilised really well if positioned properly. It's basically just a glorified viewing platform. Though, when I was looking for rides that might fit the space a few weeks ago, I think I remember reading that it could be built to over 100m tall!

Not a guess at the actual ride but just something cool - Someone posted this the other night - but this would have been pretty cool to have in keeping with the western theme.
