A new ad was posted on the official YouTube channel.

 

That ad came out back in December 

it was only published on the tube today, and its the first time i've seen it.

Don’t know about anywhere else, but this ad has been showing in Victoria (Melbourne specifically) for a while now.

I’ve saw this ad months ago as well online and TV here in Brisbane. It’s the TV commercial that I first noticed the kids are dressed as the members of the Mystery Inc gang. 

Haven’t seen that iteration up here on the GC at all...

Someone found the instagram account of one of the kids in it I think as well? Has been mentioned on here previously.

We could just go an entire class action against all Gold Coast theme parks for making false representations, almost become a specialty

Yeah there is a new section dedicated to Scrappy’s throbbing biceps.. it’s an upcharge for $25. 

What they should do is have a paid section to the Coaster with awesome theming and better coaster elements and a free section with alright theming and average coaster elements.

or you know... just do a decent job of the ride.

 

Pretty average they can't even get the fog happening in the disco room. still. 

You do pay. You either pay to enter the park for the day or for a pass of some type. It's not free.

OK I get it. I wasn’t asking about that I was just curious if they’re trying to slowly fix the ride so it’s not so crappy

Rode today. Still no changes. But as mentioned before, they’re playing the movie in the queue now. It’s about time...

Finally got to ride this in person. Green screen effect didn't work. Lift screens are amazingly too close. Disco room was extraordinarily dark (but in a way, this made it better as you couldn't see the turns or drops), and no smoke.

Final drop clearly visible too.

Other than that I enjoyed the other effects, and didn't think the graphics were too horrible - more representative of those of a 2000-ish era movie.

I don't love it. I don't hate it, i hope i caught the disco room on an off day, and i'll assume the green screen was just a glitch. I'll ride it a few more times before i make my mind up.

That was not a logical review.  This is a huge disappointment and the added effect make it feel cheap.  My first thoughts were, MW went to Aldi on a Wednesday super special day.  If MW did a line up with opening day Version 1 ride and version 2.0 nobody would give 2.0 a look in.

to be honest, the first 'monster' screen you see reminded me a little of Mystic Manor.

no way are they on the same level, but it reminded me a lot of the final Mystic scene.
