Rivals backwards seating did have surge pricing for a period this year, I'm not sure when exactly. They didn't advertise the price anywhere and the staff at the ride wouldn't tell you what it is. It seems to be stuck at $30 now though.

The backward seat can help you jump the queue, so it can also have the benefit of a fasspass.  As for a riding backwards on a woody, it doesn't really interest me because I like to see the close calls.

Its also not $0 as they need to maintain the system, and host the video for download or give away USB, all which costs $$ (and more maintenance)

I mean, in todays technology you likely could social media to measure it, based on impressions/tags over time. A consistent number would = iconic, higher consistent number = more iconic

too bad this is brand new and in my opinion can't be iconic (yet)
