Aussie World has also revealed that construction is well underway on new spinning rollercoaster, to be known as the Dingo Racer.

Designed for all ages and will have a capacity of 960 people per hour, featuring seven cars, seating up to four people each, that simultaneously spins while moving around the track.

The rollercoaster car will reach a height of 14 metres before twisting and turning along the track reaching speeds of up to 72km/h.

Fay added “with so much more in the pipeline for Aussie World in the coming years this is just the beginning of our expansion and renewed focus on thrill rides for the older audience, as well as our family favourites.”

Dingo Racer is a far better name than the "Rat"...........this should be open in time for Xmas, fingers crossed!! Of course if we go with the how long it took for SX360 to open it will be Xmas 2026.............

SX360 and Dingo racer photos from the top of the Ferris wheel. They are running SX360 on 2 different cycles at the moment - 11.30am to 1.30pm on cycle 1 (1 full rotation), then 1.30pm to 3pm on cycle 4 (3 full rotations, maybe 4 if you get lucky).

Staff are about to start training on Dingo racer, hoping for an opening during school holidays early January (info came from a senior ride attendant)

It's almost like the top of the hill has a bit of a Mad Max vibe.

 

Interestingly Aussie World have removed the cringe furry backstory from their website:

 

Aqua Cola is no longer a problem at Aussie World.

^Still has a furry on the ride sign.

So The Dingo Racer Drives the Alpha M against the Night Wolves in the Blazing Sun to become the Alpha King.

There are too many pseudonyms in the storyline IMO.

So if you visit between the 1st of Feb and 6th of March you can win a chance to come back and ride Dingo Racer.

So that implies an opening date probably from mid march onwards, or more likely the 1st of April for the start of the school holidays.

People are on it at least in the pic, so presumably it has passed all the approvals.

That’s great news, but it can’t open on April 1, people will think it’s a joke.

7NEWS Sunshine Coast did a small special on the new Dingo Racer coaster. They are aiming for an Easter opening.

Hopefully they will do another ride the night event to open the ride just like they did for SX360.

Its school holidays and it seems like it's still coming soon.

If it doesn't open for ride the night on the 8th then who knows, probably September opening..maybe?

I honestly don’t know what the delay has been, the ride is good to go it has already been tested with staff members. My guess is they have had some delay due to insurance issues and now they are waiting for another peak period to make the most of the opening so my guess is next school holidays
