the queue building didn’t have walls for years, it use to be plain black walls just before it closed. it also looks like they’ve gone a different design from when the original walls before they got torn down, the smoke in the fountain is a nice touch.

Yeah the old walls were a foam molded product that didn't meet fire performance standards like the internals of the ride and were removed. The new walls do look mostly 2d flats with the embellishments around the screen and props.

Smoke in the fountain was always there, just low performance IRL. The images have either done a long exposure which has exaggerated the fog, or they've improved \ upgraded the device responsible.

Oh, sorry - i'll speak slower for you. Too many people in the park, not enough rides operating, not enough rides operating at full capacity, not enough staff to operate the rides effectively, poo

I was cautiously optimistic of the ride returning to the opening (of the ride) standard when this was announced, but after Oz and various visible maintenance/upkeep issues around the park I don’t have

With the recent glues on MovieWorlds socials and all pointing to December 8, could today be a soft opening or more just an opening announcement?

The clues were announcing there is going to be an announcement.    It's an announcement you make when you have nothing really going on.  A bit like the the announcement about the Superman queue.

Not long exposure ;)

Queue looks nice. Hoping there's a single rider line

The indoor queue looks amazing!

However in my view, nothing quite embodies immersion like being bombarded with HBO Max ads while queuing for an hour for one of Australia’s most “iconic” rides…

might be worth the trade off for the extra fountains and props, however for a park that’s build so much hype I would prefer no ads

You’d most likely only see the ad every time the movie ends and resets back to the beginning so you’d see it a max of 3-4 times in line accounting for school holiday crowds. I don’t think it’s fair to call it a bombardment of ads for HBO Max, at least compared to whats seen on the screens in the station of DCR where it’s ads are present 95% of the time.

The video in the reply above yours shows fast track, and what appears to be general standby.

There's no way you'd fit single rider up that corridor - and they're certainly not going to prioritise capacity over making money off queue jump passes.

It's been said it's just the beginning of the video, and if that's the case i'm not against it - you can't skip credits on stuff like that - but even if it isn't, i'd be totally ok if they'd worked out a sponsorship deal for it.

In my view, watching what I assume is a 'making of' \ 'behind the scenes' video while standing in a queueline, even without HBO branding - isn't quite the embodiment of 'immersion'. If you want immersion in a queue line, check out WOZ or Jungle Rush, because it isn't projector screens playing movie clips.
