Well Triple Vortex, The Little Rippers, and Temple of Huey have all reopened, bringing the parks lineup back to normal (aside from fully 4/6)

They're closed. The maintanence schedule has updated it to reopening tomorrow.

Getting conflicting messages from you here...

I doubt they will be open this week.

  • I feel like WWW doesn’t get the airtime is deserves. It’s a pretty damn solid little park.

In what is no doubt a great addition, it looks like White Water World will be introducing ride photo kiosks during the seasonal break.

  • Word is they want it open, but they’re ‘waiting on insurance’. If that is the case, and it continues to take longer than expected, I reckon they should make that clear & have it closed with no kno

Just conveying what DW is saying, don't blame me blame the maintanence guys for being lazy.

WWW doesn't open until 10.30. Generally they don't update until the park is open.

Temple is working but was only running for staff? Or something. Triple is closed and won't open for a while.

It’s been updated again. Little Rippers is apparently tomorrow, Temple of Huey is now next Saturday and Triple Vortex is mid December.

I’m struggling to see the correlation…?

Motocoaster (or atleast the store/entrance) appears to be getting some retheme to suit Rivertown theme… But if it has been delayed by a month, could indicate the whole Rivertown project is actually behind by a month

or maybe they’ll just open motorcoaster and rivertown at the same time? just because one got pushed back doesn’t mean the entire thing did.

Sure, that’s possible too. However you’d assume if that were the plan then the motocoaster maintenance period would’ve always been to reopen sometime in December and not October (or 18 November as it currently stands)

I don't see one either. Either they know something from the inside they're not explaining, or... actually I have no idea what the motivation could be.

If you check the recent posts in Murrissippi Motors and Jungle Rush threads, ShakeShack appears to have an axe to grind against DW. There's no inside knowledge or insight to be gained here.

Looks like a typical DW maintenance extension, which is pretty common on their larger, older rides.

Motocoaster has reportedly been closed to accomodate works for MM and JR. If they're pushing the reopening back by another month, it is a fair assumption that the construction works for the aforementioned attractions are also delayed by a month.

Moto had already been down for a multiple month maintenance period earlier in the year. When I visited the park the other day, both trains are sitting dormant in the station, with no work taking place. Our group spoke to an operations staff member who informed us they believe it is also down due to construction works.

Both trains? Also you would be better off asking anyone but operations, from my experience in past jobs, the ground staff don’t usually get told what is happening it is more news that get tricked down the river, I therefore cannot trust the accuracy of that “source”.

maybe there is another reason that hasn’t been considered, it’s an Intamin, and intamin takes a longer time to send parts out, maybe they found they needed a part but didn’t have it on hand? Like what happened with Superman Escape?

Definitely possible, Moto has always been unreliable IMO. I doubt it will last another ten years anyway. If it was up to me, I'd get rid of it now, it's just not getting the TLC it needs, and if it doesn't get a retheme, I doubt it will. I still hope JR and MM open in time though, even if Moto doesn't, at least the entrance is themed.

Who told you is was closed to accommodate MM and JR construction?  I thought it was closed for the shop to be re-themed.

How dare you use logic?! I'd say it's nothing to do with a delay directly related to Rivertown. Honestly it makes more sense to keep the whole area closed off until it's ready. A November opening date for Motocoaster seems about the right amount of time to do a retheme of a building. Hopefully after King Claw is done, a retheme of Motorcoaster is next. Based on the whole 20 year cycle that most of the parks are seeming to go with it would be the next major ride to get an overhaul given it opened in 2007. Once it hits 20 years it makes sense to either do a full overhaul (like Scooby / West / Giant Drop / Claw to King Claw) or look at replacing the ride.

I'd honestly like to see the Motocoaster removed instead of rethemed and having more money spent on a coaster with a very lacklustre layout. The land is prime real estate and could be used as an expansion to the Rivertown area. Dreamworld would really have a great lineup once Rivertown opens, King Claw and then an expansion / new attractions on that area. I'd say we will have a soft opening the week before xmas with a traditional Boxing Day opening at this stage.

100% agree with this one! Rip it out and make the most of that real estate. Great opportunity to tie in Rivertown with Central Station and Giant Drop.
