Dreamworld Maintenance Schedule 2024

Recommended Posts

Personally I believe DW desperately needs a well themed water ride, something on Wild West Scale or Splash Mountain… they could even steal the theme from Mystic River Falls… they don’t need to build a whole mountain but it would require theming if it wants anything on WWF.

Thrill rides are cool, but if you want a full day out you need those longer experiences that are longer then 2 minutes

Went to the park yesterday, didn’t take many photos of any construction/maintenance but was wondering if any of y’all knew what these muted red metal (track?) pieces in Motocoaster’s envelope could be for, before I start to jump to any of my own conclusions.

Looks like a train transport track - load the coaster train onto this sled and then transport it to where you need it.

Usually they're smaller single car sleds, but i think some coaster cars need to be connected to one another if each car only has a single bogey set...

for MDMC? possibly. they did have it down for maintenance during construction so it could just be usual \ general maintenance. could have both trains getting rebuilt so they're at full capacity when JR opens. Although not part of the land its the nearest thing outside of it and will likely see larger queues from the extra foot traffic in that area....

It did have its annual maintenance earlier in the year and this ‘maintenance’ was scheduled some what last minute (according to the website) and then was brought forward by a month and has been extended out by a month too.

Does anyone know what’s going on with the Giant Drop at the moment? Only the side facing the M1 is operating, while the side facing Coomera/GC Train Line doesn’t have any cables, gondola, or catchcar assembly attached to the tower. Also, at the bottom left of the picture, there seems to be some sort of cylinder, any ideas what that could be?

Beat me to it. Had the exact same thought today, and was going to ask if this is normal.

Hopefully they're just running maintenance on it now to have both sides up and ready for the Holidays.
