It makes me wonder though given that the annual pass is 12 months 'from activation date' whether they could technically run foul of ACCC by not offering it next year for those who purchased in that changeover period - an advertised inclusion that can't be utilised...

I received an email last week with a renewal offer and it mentioned the following 'one free entry to 3 After Dark Events**'

**Village Roadshow Premium Annual Passholders can each redeem one (1) free of charge Event general admission ticket however redemption is subject to ticket availability as Event numbers are limited. This MUST be pre-booked.

I would fall into this category if this was the case. Time will tell

Hopefully they're pro-active about this, and offer passholders a one-off transitional product to plus the passholder experience, rather than poison another loyal fanbase...

Eg: when they pulled fright nights from their pass offering, they still offered a passholder only alternative in the transition year to make up for it.

Did anyone else receive the 'remediation' email for this sent yesterday?

Assume this will be sent to all eventually. My pass was purchased with Carnivale as an inclusion, but the pass wasn't activated until after Carnivale had finished this year - so should qualify, but so far no email.

It's good to know they are at least conscious of the impacts to passholders and are actively seeking to offer an alternative. This is higher than my usual expectations from Village - but it still should have been communicated to affected parties before (or at least at the same time) they scrubbed the website and got noticed by a bunch of thoosies.

The terms and conditions say

An “Eligible Premium Annual Passholder” is a passholder who purchased a Premium Annual Pass between 29 December 2025 and 1 July 2026.

An Eligible Premium Annual Passholder and any active Members will receive:

  • one (1) complimentary Bring a Friend For Free ticket; and

  • a complimentary extension to their Pass or Membership.

It then pretty much reads as the email but that clarifies who's eligible. I'm not sure but the links might be tied to our individual passes

We meet that criteria, still no email.

In previous experience, links are not tied directly to individual passes. The current passes I have are from someone else's link because they received a better offer to their email than I could get online.

Also, you wouldn't need to enter your pass barcode numbers to purchase otherwise...

Would be great if someone could share the link. If we wait for Village to do it it'll be Christmas.
